GGG would be in a no win situation if he were to take on Ward asap. If he wins, he beat an inactive fighter who just returned to the sport after a long layoff. If he loses, he lost to an inactive fighter who just returned to the sport after a long layoff.
I would love to see this fight but I would like to see Ward create some buzz by beating a high profile opponent first in order to hype the matchup. Let him take his tuneup bout then fight someone noteworthy before taking on GGG.
I see many GGG haters asking why doesn't GGG move up to 168 to face Ward but aren't asking Ward to move up to 175 to face Kovalev.Comment

Pretty ironic all the big names say GGG not worth it but ward dallws him out and says Ward not worth itComment

It's been made clear that GGG will move out of the middleweight division if it's a big fight. Let's see what numbers Ward pulls on June 20th in his return bout against Paul Smith. That ought to put things into perspective as to Ward's current potential for a big draw. My bet is that it will take a few more fights to get the fans attention before the numbers are sufficient to make a fight meeting both GGG and Ward's financial demands (you know that at this stage of their careers that neither Ward nor GGG are going to take some low figure to fight each other - nor should they). At least I hope that fans will show interest and demand the fight many of us want to see.Comment

If Ward realized that he's the b-side and takes the neccesary paycut, I'm sure the fight could be made. Hell if he takes even less he might get it at 168 lbs instead of a CW.Comment

look at you going out of your way to discredit your conquerors
your capital city should raise a picture of andre ward instead of a flag.
kessler didn't even put up a fight.Comment

50/50 he'd still get his biggest pay day and the SMW title. He knows he'll lose though so it's not worth it for him.Comment
