    So I won't.

I am one of the biggest Andre Ward boosters on here.

I'll spell it out for you:

Ward has been out of action for a long time and was never hugely popular to begin with.

Golovkin is wise to try to get alot of dough out of a fight with Andre Ward because he is damn near certain to take an ass whupping.

Good dude like GGG should be well compensated for taking that risk.

Ward needs to take the time to rebuild his brand in order to tempt GGG into the ring so he can administer said ass whupping.

    Get it now?
Get off your high horse captain obvious, you just agreed with what most posters are saying.

Oh, except the bold, which is fanboy bullshht.

So, the financial windfall that Willie Monroe recently showered upon Gennady Golovkin is now the standard, and GGG doesn't want to take a backward step financially by facing that other guy, the one that nobody can remember, right?

You should be called Able Sanchez, because you make the same dopey excuses.

    It is, what it is.....

BTW, not sure what is worse, inactivity, or fighting Willie Monroe.

Ggg is ducking ward plain and simple.

Ggg last fight: I want cotto, and alvarez, now not in the future !!
Max kellerman : What about ward ?!
Ggg : Well... Hmmmm... You.. Know ward great fighter... After alvarez and cotto in the future

8min15. Ggg : Ward is too much for me right now.

and the money excuse is total crap. If ggg was to move up and destroy ward, he would immediately become a star and crack the top 5 pound for pound, all his following fights would be on ppv and he would eventually get cotto and alvarez.

Like this poster said, money is only and issue when youre not guaranteed the w.

Wake me up when ggg fight an actual threat, not some other tomato cans
      damn.....................

          Most likely Pacquiao's.

Posters who know you will be able to confirm.

          Come on man.....
..... Ward needs to rebuild his brand in order to tempt GGG into the ring ?

I know you dont believe that.

He doesnt, he can also let GGG build himself into a Ppv draw and come in as B sider. Or he could try convincing his promoter to make a seruous offer to GGG finally, even if they stand to lose a lot of money.

              I agree with you !

But you are only telling half the story, the convenient half.....

Ward could let Golovkin make his own way, and eat off his table down the line.

Or Ward could take a paycut.

But how can you even suggest that Ward could take a paycut, without considering the fact that Golovkin could do the exact same thing?

Golovkin could do what DOZENS of other top fighters have done..... pull his head in, accept that he is the B-side, beat Ward, and take his mantle.

Just like Mayweather did, just like dozens of other fighters have done.

Look, Golovkin is not as big as Canelo, not even close..... and Canelo, is not as big as Pacquiao is, not even close...... and yet, BOTH of those guys took short money and accepted they were the B-side, for a shot at the champ.

Golovkin becomes an overnight star by beating Ward.

Remember, the only knock on Golovkin is that he hasnt beaten anybody, and yet is still facing underwhelming opponents.

If Golovkin is as good as his team say, then why did he just walk away from an opportunity to bridge that PPV gap by avoiding Ward?

Golovkin is nowhere near as accomplished as Ward, so what right does he have to see Ward as a payday..... he should see Ward as an opportunity.

Golovkin is not there yet, not even close, and yet he/his fans, are acting like they need to cash out on a Ward fight.

Ward should be a stepping stone for GGG, right ?..... not a cashout payday.

              • To duck someone you need to be avoiding a fight that makes at least some financial sense.

If Ward was the biggest money fight out there you could say its a duck but its not.

Its not even that, theres no offer on the table from Ward and theres never been. Even Wards team wants it to marinate. Trouble is, hes gonna be coming in a definite B side unless the big money guys behind him can make a good offer quick.
