Abel Sanchez said that Willie Jr was a bigger name

Why would they even bother giving Lara the time of day? There are Lara interviews, where he himself says he is staying at 154. All we are seeing here is a fighters management trying to get his name out there by piggybacking on a fighter who is getting a lot of press.

Look at PBC. There are tons of 154 and 160lb'ers within them needing fights. For some reason though, none of those names are mentioned, but he picks Delvin Rodriguez. Just sit back and think about that.
why doesn't lara move up to 160 and fight jacobs who is ggg's interim champ. then he could get the fight. both guys are with haymon so it should be easy to make. where does delvin rodriguez fit?
      That's what I'm saying!

I feel boxing scene exists in a parallel universe where Lara is great fighter that's being avoided.
In the real world, barely anybody watches his fights or even cares about him.
When they do watch, they boo.
When Keith Thurman was running around against Bundu the biggest insult the writers gave was when they called him "Erislandy Thurman".

Was Lara really that impressive against Delvin Rodriguez and Ishe Smith to merit this weird praise?
I pretty much agree with you, in fact unlike you, I really think he's a very good fighter and I think he wasn't that bad against Smith and Rodriguez but he was supposed to destroy them as they are both D level opponents because that's the way he box so I can agree he should show us more in those fights. He has a lot of potential but he's fighting scared, he'd rather carry his opponents to the last bell instead of destroying them.

This is NSB where posters love fooling themselves and others. They use the cold war excuse when they don't want certain fights to be made, yet totally ignore it when it suits their agenda.

Lara vs Jacobs should have no issues getting made. They have Haymon in common and no HBO to deal with.

That sounds exactly like what Golovkin fans do. They call people like Qullin and Jacob "cowards" yet they then use the "cold war" excuse when it comes to Lara.

The fact of the matter if that Tom Loeffler took Lara's name to GGG's trainer and he said "no". End of story.

How can anyone take Lara seriously right now? Just cause he's talking Golovkin? The guy makes no sense. So politics prevent it Jacob/Quillin-Golovkin but somehow that doesn't apply to Lara....as of now, he's just using Gennady's name for recognition and half you twats are dumb enough to cheer him on.

If he really wanted to make an imprint at middleweight, he could target somebody within the Haymon stable, for starters.

But but you have to use common sense in obvious cases doe. Do you think GGG would duck guys like Quillin and Lara? Come on man.

BTW, why do you think Lara is not calling out these guys who are in his own backyard? Exactly. Because they are easy to make.
