  • Why not just fight him? If you can fight Monroe Jr it is no reason not to fight Lara

I would like to see it! Lara>GGG Opponents so far that is for sure. Also him and Canelo having common opponents would build up that fight and if GGG stops Lara which Canelo couldn't do, that would really be impressive and would help build up their fight even more

And I'd like to have a night of wild sex with Sofia Vergara and Salma Hayek. But unfortunately...

And mostly, why the fug would GGG ever fight Lara unless, he was a mando??

Makes no fugging sense at all. He's boring, has no fans, brings no money, and isn't in GGGs weight class.

This whole conversation is just fugging dumb. Lara is acting entitled.

While GGG has never been entitled with anything, he worked his way to every single fight, earned his belts with working his way into mando spots. Now all the no money fighters like Lara, need to get in line and work their way to GGG.

Otherwise, there's literally no fugging reason at all for GGG to go out of his way for a fighter barely anyone knows or cares about.
Lara never said GGG fight has to take place at 154.

        • why doesn't lara move up to 160 and fight jacobs who is ggg's interim champ. then he could get the fight. both guys are with haymon so it should be easy to make. where does delvin rodriguez fit?

I started re-reading this topic because I'm writing a text on Golovkin and I'm seeing here a lot of terrible and good points that I should include in it, so I thought it would be nice to bring up this topic just a few months after all this talk. And what do we see? Froch retired instead of fighting Golovkin in his own backyard, Ward refused to fight him and is fighting at 172 because he's scared to go up to 175 and Lara called him out just to hype himself up and make a few more people tune in to his fight against some bum who was ready to be knocked out, than shut his mouth afterwards, as all Haymon's fighters usually do. They call out an non-Haymon's fighter to make themselves look courageous and make Haymon's and Floyd's groupies write about how they are being ducked and afterwards when it's time to have some serious negotiations they are catching amnesia. All this is happening in front of our eyes and there's still some groupie idiots who are trying to make you believe Haymon's fighters are the ones being ducked. I hope at least they are being payed for it.

Angulo showed us that Lara will fight when pressed. GGG will press. GGG will probably kick the **** out of him, but it'll be entertaining.

And if not, we'll learn something about Golovkin.

                It's a win/win as far as I can see.
                ^^^^ This

More interesting than the Lemiuex fight to me

Man Lara hasn't fought yet a good opponent from Haymon's stable (he can easily make a fight against them if he wants) and want to fool us Golovkin is ducking him? Anyways when was that and at what weight? Have they explained why they said no? I may be wrong but I haven't heard anything from Lara after his last fight.

Look at PBC. There are tons of 154 and 160lb'ers within them needing fights. For some reason though, none of those names are mentioned, but he picks Delvin Rodriguez. Just sit back and think about that.

I feel boxing scene exists in a parallel universe where Lara is great fighter that's being avoided.
In the real world, barely anybody watches his fights or even cares about him.
When they do watch, they boo.
When Keith Thurman was running around against Bundu the biggest insult the writers gave was when they called him "Erislandy Thurman".

Was Lara really that impressive against Delvin Rodriguez and Ishe Smith to merit this weird praise?
