So you're excuse works both ways and like Cotto said, he'll have to wait until his time comes.
Did you ever hear anyone from Gennady's team calling out Cotto prior his fight with Martinez.

Gennady wants to unify the division. They are not forcing Cotto to fight if he wants to go back to 154 - fair enough.. but DROP THE BELT!

As for Canelo, people started asking Gennady about Canelo. Once Canelo gets to 160 or wins 160 title it is a natural question.

Easy! It all revolves around 160 division with a very few exceptions like Floyd or PPV at 168. Nobody is forcing Canelo to fight GGG. But Canelo might take that 160 title and then he should or again DROP THE BELT.

and yes, Gennady is not PPV, that's why he is willing to go out of his division to fight PPV fight.

and it's not an excuse. Ward should be Gennady's ultimate fight, ultimate challenge. It is not fair he gets <2mil for that fight.

      Fear.
If Cotto's too small for middleweight he shouldn't fight in the division.

        Fear.
Because Ward DOES NOT WANT THE FIGHT UNTIL HE HAS AT LEAST TWO TUNE UP FIGHTS!!!! ARE YOU THAT ****ING DENSE??? CAN YOU NOT READ? SHOULD I USE A LARGER FONT? A DIFFERENT LANGUAGE?

Cotto is the LINEAL MIDDLEWEIGHT CHAMPION. I DO NOT GIVE A **** WHAT HE WAS YEARS AGO. GGG ONCE WEIGHED 140 AS WELL. PROBABLY WHEN HE WAS 14 YEARS OLD. NOT MY FAULT IF COTTO NEVER GREW UP.

Look, people can either brag that Cotto has fought in different divisions or they can use it as an excuse and claim that GGG is beating up on a smaller man. Can't have it both ways. Cotto is either a valiant warrior or a chicken who is out of his depth in a division that is too big for him.

Either way, Cotto against GGG ends only one way... with Cotto on the mat.

Yeah, GGG's team has been very consistent. They can't pretend they don't want the payday of a Cotto fight, but they weren't saying a damn thing about fighting him until he beat Martinez. Before that it was all about Sergio. And if Cotto or Alvarez don't want to fight Golovkin, then drop the belt so Golovkin can win it.

Strictly a business decision: GGG makes more $$$ vs Canelo or Cotto than he does vs Ward.

I do see a Ward-GGG fight in the future, but two things have to happen: 1) GGG defeats either or both Canelo and Cotto and 2) Ward fights and survives Kovalev.

Even then, Ward would be 15 pounds heavier when and if they get into the ring, which is a big disadvantage to GGG. I'm not talking about the weight in, I"m talking about in the ring.

And don't bring up freaking catchweights. The fight is at 175.

GGG has never fought above 160. Ward has fought above 168, and is fighting at 172 next.

If anything, Ward needs to fight Kovalev.

All that for basically saying GGG is avoiding Ward because he doesn't bring in the paper. It's the same reason Canelo and Cotto don't fight GGG, he doesn't bring the paper. Period, the end.

The Murray and Monroe fights might have been one sided, but Ive never been more convinced that a fit and healthy Ward would beat Golovkin.

Yeah... by same logics Floyd is avoiding GGG, GGG is avoiding Ward, Ward is avoiding Kovalev, Kovalev is avoiding Klitschko...

                    1. Cotto and GGG ARE in the same class! They ARE sharing the titles in the SAME division.
                    2. GGG and Ward ARE NOT!

                    period.

If you can't see the difference.. no point discussing I agree.

If you can't get my point think about why is Cotto ordered to fight GGG, and why GGG is not ordered to fight Ward..

Kovalev and GGG also won't have the Monre, Murray, Rubio, or the elder Hopkins, Pascal in thering with them against Ward.

I really don't get what's your point and what's your logical reasoning of your opinion that you think Ward wants no part of them. I can only think of you don't like Ward and that's the reason...
Last time when Ward was active enough he was the P4P #2 not Golovkin or Kovalev and one or two tune ups after a 1,5 years lay off won't make him a cherry picker all that sudden.
Both guys are very good but Ward is special, he will beat both of them or if he meets just one of them then that one. Mark my words. I'm glad that there are real quality opponent for Ward out there like Golovkin or Kovalev because with beating them he can cement his place among the great ones.
