Exactly. Its seriously ridiculous, and Ward isn't even fighting at 168 anymore, and has been out of the picture for ages. He's been fueding with HBO, because they denied his choice of easy opponents, so thats where Wards head is at.

If Ward really wants Golovkin, let him drop down for the fight otherwise he can wait. He's the B-side.
I bet Queen Latifa didn't take out a page in Boxing Scene asking why Ward was picking on smaller fighters or why Ward wont fight Kovalev. I can see through biased people like glass and Queen Latifa is one of the easiest to see through.

Ward is taking ONE fight at 172....now all of a sudden he's stop being a 168 lber.

So if GGG goes down to 154 lbs and fights Alvarez, all of a sudden he stops being a natural 160 lber.

GGG and Ward are B-side fighter, they both need each other. GGG beats Mayweather, Cotto and Alvarez due to size and sheer force, not technique because lets face it those three are better boxers than him. Let see him try that nonsense on Ward, someone who has the strength and ring IQ to fight back.

Which is why neither team is eager to make the fight right now. To get both guys paid it'd have to be a PPV, which it isn't yet. Or ROC Nation ponies up and takes some losses

isn't ward's constant hugging nonsense? let me guess you consider that "pure boxing" or "skill"

              Clinching is apart of boxing.

                1. Cotto and GGG ARE in the same class! They ARE sharing the titles in the SAME division.
                2. GGG and Ward ARE NOT!

                period.

If you can't see the difference.. no point discussing I agree.

If you can't get my point think about why is Cotto ordered to fight GGG, and why GGG is not ordered to fight Ward..
Okay, they are in the same division... fights with high risk don't get made unless the money is right. It's always been that way, it'll always be that way. But, GGG hasn't moved up 3 and 4 weightclasses either, the other guys have, GGG can't even move up one because he has to "unify." I like the guy but the way he's ducking other people under the guise of unification is sad to see.

The point is he should move up to challenge himself, instead he wants the money and fame. That's his main motivation, not the belt. So, belt or not it doesn't matter their ducking other people for the same thing. It doesn't have to be Ward it can be Froch, DeGeale, Dirrel or whatever other halfway decent SMW is out there. Why? Because that would show he was out to test himself, unifying is collecting an easy paycheck and fame. I don't blame him for doing that, but I don't blame Cotto and Canelo for doing it either so stop with the double standard.

Cotto is the LINEAL MIDDLEWEIGHT CHAMPION. I DO NOT GIVE A **** WHAT HE WAS YEARS AGO. GGG ONCE WEIGHED 140 AS WELL. PROBABLY WHEN HE WAS 14 YEARS OLD. NOT MY FAULT IF COTTO NEVER GREW UP.

Look, people can either brag that Cotto has fought in different divisions or they can use it as an excuse and claim that GGG is beating up on a smaller man. Can't have it both ways. Cotto is either a valiant warrior or a chicken who is out of his depth in a division that is too big for him.

Either way, Cotto against GGG ends only one way... with Cotto on the mat.

Roy Jones understands that Cotto is NOT a MW. You seem to struggle with reality.

Raise your standards. GGG beating smaller fighters is not the ticket. He needs to step up and stop calling out smaller fighters when he brings NO real money to the table. The same claim he makes as to why he won't fight Ward $$$$$

Did Roy Jones stick around the heavyweight division after he beat John Ruiz?

Cotto will do what Cotto wants to do, when Cotto wants to do it and nothing you cry about on boxingscene will have an impact on Cotto. Accept it, and move the fck on already. If you are so sure GGG destroys Cotto, what is the point of them fighting? The fckin belt?? Ahahahahahaha STFU already.

100%. You have clowns kidding themselves that GGG becomes a legend for beating a smaller, shopworn and out of prime Cotto. Does it get any lower than this? Talk about standards. Notice, they don't wanna see their idol challenge himself against Ward. For them it is more important to maintain the illusion that GGG is unbeatable. Sad basatards...

The interest in GGG V Cotto for some, has nothing to do with the sport of boxing, and everything to do with their own warped need. On one hand they are claiming GGG utterly destroys Cotto so you have to ask, what then is their TRUE interest for this fight? Petty envy 101
