WBA/IBO middleweight champion Gennady "GGG" Golovkin (33-0, 30KOs) is looking for fights with Miguel Cotto and Saul "Canelo" Alvarez - but he has not intention of meeting them at junior middleweight or a catch-weight.

Golovkin is willing to come down to 154-pounds for a dream fight with Floyd Mayweather Jr. - but he holds the mandatory position under the WBC and that entitles him to get a direct shot at a Cotto-Canelo winner.

Cotto defends against Daniel Geale on June 6th. If he wins, it is expected that he will face Canelo in the fall.

he said he will, so far he has done enough for me and many others to believe, if you choose not to you are entitled to your personal opinion, and at the same time GGGs team just stated that they wont drop any pounds for canelo (not 2 or 3, or 1)...

ggg is not canelos mandatory, canelo is not a champion on any division so he has no obligations with anyone, unlike cotto... now if canelo gets the title from cotto he better defend it vs ggg at the full 160 or vacate, no title hostage should be allowed neither a CW title defense...
and again peasant, you shouldnt be posting about catchweights, most posters on this forum know that if anyone is a nationalistic biased with double standards its you...

I was not impressed with GGGs performance. I think Canelo has gotten better and now I think he can stop GGG by KO be it at 154 or 160.

After further review, GGG has a fighting style that will not be effective against Canelo. Canelo will catch him walking in and knock him down and then out. Before, GGG was the top dog at 160, now I don't know.

Canelo is a big Light Middleweight, lets not act like he is a little Light Middleweight. The Photo of GGG and Canelo side by side flexing, they look the same size to me
