It was a KO, but I wasn't impressed. He fought a 50-1 underdog who looked quite live. I think Chavez Jr gives him probkems, and wins. His inside game wasn't that tight, he take unnecessary hits, he looked tired early, and his power is starting to become a crutch.

You were talking about power, Rubio has more knockouts than Golovkin has fights.

Point I was making, he has faced power punchers. What you were saying about the first guy with power isn't accurate.

GGG did what he was suppose to do but it was good to see a little resistance at least. Monroe Jr very well inside and in the middle of the ring but when he started backing up and fighting off of his backfoot is where he got in trouble.

GGG showed good footwork and the ability to cut the ring off that was good work by him.

Yeah before the fight I described him as a poor man's Lara. Same defensive lapses but even worse. And not seasoned enough to beat GGG. But he didn't do too badly. Wasn't blown away by GGG again as I see the same issues fight in and fight out. But his offensive arsenal is undeniable and I can't see Canelo nor Cotto able to hang in there with him.

            Yeah right.

            He just isn't good defensively.

Because unlike some fighters and ignorant fans, Golovkin is actually respectful or other fighters and when a fighter says he needs a couple of tune up fights and asks that his name no longer be mentioned, GGG accommodates the request.

Hmm, more like Quillin needs to step up and fight GGG. I doubt he wants any of GGG.

Lara? I don't know what his stance is on fighting Golovkin. I'm in favor of that fight. I think he finishes the job that Canelo started.

Lemuix? Great match-up. If he didn't get TKO'd by Marco Antonio Rubio, I would really wonder how he would hold up but I'm certain he gets dropped like a sack of potatoes.

Canelo gets KFTO during the ref's ring instructions.
Not sure what respectful has to do with it. He was respectful regarding Cotto too and said bring him on. With Ward he said he wanted to take a couple fights first. It's understandable. Basically said the same thing Canelo said about him, which is, "you're not worth the risk right now."

Very impressive performance. GGG showed me a lot in this fight. Monroe was punching back with GGG and landed some decent shots. GGG was able to handle that and deliver his own shots. 6 rounds of solid work. This guys the real deal and it's time for the other guys to start stepping up. HBO needs to put all their resources behind him so he can land the fights he wants.
