    International Convention Centre, Durban, KwaZulu-Natal, South Africa - In a very important WBC cruiserweight eliminator - Thabiso Mchunu (16-2, 10KOs) came on strong, faded during the late rounds and was knocked out in the eleventh by Ilunga Makabu (19-1, 18KOs), who is now the mandatory challenger to WBC champion Grigory Drozd of Russia.

    Sounds like we missed a classic, result is awesome though, makabu is very exciting, so many good fights with him in the future, Mchunu is great, very slick but always in trouble vs a puncher if you start well and gas on late.

      Makabu is a total beast. His offense is fantastic.

              Corrie Sanders is known for 2 fights. He is the only man to ever totally destroy the best HW of the last 10 years & his fight with Rahman in 2000 was the best HW fight in the last 15 years (It was better then Lennox\Vitali). Francois Botha fought everyone & was in some great scraps in his prime. South Africa has had some good fighters & some big fights there...
