They didn't choose Monroe over Lara because there were no offers on the table from Lara. He sums it up at the end when he says its up to the networks if they want to buy a fight or not, that's what it really comes down to, I just don't see HBO and Haymon working together right now with Haymon doing his PBC thing and HBO fighters under exclusive HBO contracts. That goes for all weight classes, we aren't going to see Lomachenko vs Santa Cruz or any other HBO fighters vs Haymon fighters. Not anytime soon anyways.

That's absolutely ridiculous, as Lara has been in the public eye since 2011. Sure, Monroe has been fighting more often in the past couple years, but Lara has been fighting notable opposition on premium cable. HBO just doesn't want to deal with Haymon, therefore Lara isn't even an option.

As much as Lara moves, he still gets touched up. GGG only needs one well-placed punch to change the course of the fight. Lara hasn't fought anyone with 3G's killer instinct and finishing ability yet. I would like to see this match-up just to see Lara get his ass whupped lol
