If Ward calls out GGG they say ward is calling out a smaller fighter for his advantage! (Ward would win easily) but somehow GGG calling out Canelo is ok!

Abel Sanchez, trainer of WBA/IBO middleweight champion Gennady "GGG" Golovkin, says his fighter is ready to face Mexican superstar Saul "Canelo" Alvarez next May or next September.
Sanchez reacted to the recent comments that were made by Canelo's promoter, Oscar De La Hoya of Golden Boy Promotions.
Following Canelo's third round destruction of James Kirkland last Saturday night in Houston, De La Hoya said his company was interested in making the fight with Golovkin but "in the future."

Mayweather/Cotto in September
Cottto/Alvarez in October or November 2015
Mayweather vs Alavarez/Cotto winner in May 2016 (if no Pacquaio rematch)
Cotto/Alvarez I or II in May or June of 2016
Cotto/Alvareza II in September 2016. Cotto retires afterwards.
Any way you look at it, I don't see Alvarez fighting GGG before 2017.Comment

Not sure if the tape made it to the internet, but I saw a copy, GGG was taking it very easy on Canelo. It was a very light sparring session.Comment

i know we are talking about a handful of pounds but I've always thought less of fighters who challenge guys in lower weight classes. Also, It's hard to be a fan of a guy who is fighting a guy with 6 ko's in 20 fights.
I hate to bum out all you guys with a raging hard on over triple G. But, he has to fight some better competition and call out dudes in lower weight classes. And PS, GGG: you're not Mexican.
I'm so over the hypeComment

GGG isn't bigger than Canelo. Canelo squeezes his body down to 155 so he can have a physical advantage on his opponents on fight night. Canelo weighs in at 155 now because it's such a struggle for him to make 154. On fight night Canelo weighs around 170. GGG weighs the same on fight night, maybe a pound or two less.Comment
