Comments Thread For: Golovkin: I Can Box Like Mayweather, But That's Boring

If Fighter A has such a low opinion of Fighter B, Fighter A shouldn't be begging Fighter B to fight him. GGG has joined the bandwagon of envious hypocrital fighters that throw darts at Floyd Mayweather on a daily basis. He call's Mayweather's style boring, but Mayweather made 250 times more in his last fight than GGG will make on Saturday night and made more money in his last fight against Maidana than GGG will earn in his entire career.
This type of behavior is pathetic and will not get GGG a fight with an A-side attraction like Cotto or Alvarez. The best he can hope for is for him to muster up enough courage to move up to 168 to fight Froch or Ward for a good payday.

It doesn't matter what you did in the amateurs or how much power you may have as a professional or how many KO's you have or how spectacularly you win. If you cannot attract big crowds as a pro, you will not do well financially. GGG does not attract the crowds and therefore, cannot get big money fights. That is why he is practically begging Alvarez, Cotto and Floyd to fight him. Floyd Mayweather is an attraction and can get big money fights. That is all that matters in the fight game, whether fans realize it or not.

By the time Mayweather was GGG's age, Mayweather had fought and beaten world champions in five weight divisions. He had beaten all the top guys at every weight division, except 140, but he beat one of the top three guys in t140-pound division. GGG has accomplished absolutely nothing compared to Mayweather and that is the difference between the two of them.
