Gennady Golovkin is 32 and his best win is Martin Murray. That is all.

I think it can be a competitive fight. Like you said it could loom for the next 5 years. Let the marketing begin. I actually believe it would be a much better fight than May-Pac.

If you want to see what mayweather vs golovkin would look like, watch the calderon-segura fight.

Sure he does. That's why Golovkin and his manager jumped at the opportunity to face, easily, their best opponent to date.

just admit the guy is the best and leave it alone
                    wurd ^^

But it is funny to me that Mayweather would likely beat GGG at 154, despite how the casual fans have blown GGG up to be godzilla.

At 154, today..... Mayweather would be the betting favorite.

                    Bookies are not casual fans.

If GGG thought he had a chance of beating Ward, the fight would have already been made. I like GGG, but he cleaned out his division 2 years ago. Time to move on. Fighting a smaller Mayweather is not the way into the history books.
So tired of people accommodating Ward. The guy hasn't done crap in years for real. It's like thinking of this great football legend who ran for a game winning TD in a playoff game 10 years ago then retired. Ward is once again fighting in his hometown and against some dude that is a c rated boxer at best.

Come on, Ward should move his happy ass down and face GGG if he wants that fight. GGG still has Cotto business to settle up with at MW. If Cotto doesn't want it with him, then vacate or take the criticism for ducking. Either that or face Canelo and let GGG take on the winner.

Ward needs to do something of note against a SMW or retire, he has lost his rights to dictate or demand anything.
