The one that travels deserves that 60-40 split over the guy at home. Both Canelo and Cotto are equal in terms of popularity. I don't think none of those two can hit the 500k mark by themselves vs an unknown. They need each other for this mega fight just like Pac/Mayweather needed each other.

Actually Floyd didn't need Pacquiao, it's the other way around. Floyd was consistently staying at that 1 million mark with whoever he fought. Pac was floating at 300,000 or so.

Pretty clear that it won't be in Cali, Texas, or NY. Vegas is natural. Canelo will have a slight edge in fans in attendance since there are a lot more Mexicans.

the drawing power is pretty much equal at this point. But I'd give the "a" side to cotto just because he's been around longer.

Lol @ arum having beef with the MGM. You know that was all for show right? They still stayed at an MGM hotel every time they said they had beef with them...

Would Floyd get that 4m+ PPVs without Pac? Exactly! Quit being a stan.

I think they are both A side. You only posted canelos numbers from last week but cotto had really high numbers himself on hbo.I think dan rafael said that they would have to do this in the mgm so I think a 50/50 is fair.
But if they fight for cotto lineal title then idk. That depends on if Canelo even wants the title

I only posted that because the Canelo vs Kirkland broadcast broke a record that was set in 2006.

You need to know your facts...
Last week didn't break any records, it was merely most watched HBO fight since the Hopkins fight in 2006...
