It's a hell of an opportunity. We'll see what Monroe can manage with it.

Finally someone who knows boxing. I'm with you. It will a good one and will be GGGs toughest yet.
Why is Monore a bigger test than Martin Murray? Murray (I thought) beat Sturm for the WBA title and came real close to beating Martinez and capturing the WBC belt as well as lineal title.

Daniel Geale has also fought and won tougher opponents than Monroe. Monroe is not GGG's toughest test yet. It will be interesting to see how it plays out. If it turns out to be like the Geale fight then we more evidence that he can track down, trap and take out movers and runners.

His detractors will rightfully say "But who has Monroe fought?"

Monroe isn't a bad fighter. He's sort of a poor man's Erislandy Lara. Has skills but has major defensive lapses. His chin is a question mark. If he can withstand GGG's power, a gigantic if, we may see a fight here. But even then I'm not convinced he's ready. This fight would be closer a year from now.

It is gonna be interesting to see GGG in with that 'urban' style even if it is a B level one.

Monroe could bring a taser to the ring, and he still won't be able to shock GGG.

GGG is better in every department except running (GGG isn't just a KO merchant), its a mismatch and Monroe will be brutalized, just a matter of which round it ends, i'll go the 5th, GGG wants to get some rounds in but he might KO him earlier due to his godly power.

Floyd should not have to fight a middleweight. 154 was a stretch and he was already coming into the fight at 152. GGG comes into the fight weighing 175. GGG is trying to fight a person two weight classes down from him but will not fight Ward who is one up. He can chase Canelo who is one weight class down. There are other 154 pound fighters and 160 pound fighters who will fight him so that he is not chasing a 147 pound fighter who really has to eat just to make that weight. What are you going to say that Floyd needs to fight Kovalev next? LOL. Would you say that if Kovalev chased a fight with Froch or if Kovalev tried to fight Chavez Jr. That's two weight classes down.
