But if Cotto beats Geale, a fighter who GGG utterly destroyed, you will be crowing about how good Cotto is and how he beat a legitimate contender in Geale.

Put Canelo and Cotto in the ring with GGG and you can call them 'no hopers' too once he is done with them.

Golovkin is similar to Hopkins in that he takes very good care of himself and has developed strong fundamentals and strong and intelligent fighting mentality. He should age well over the next 5 years. Plenty of time for Alvarez, Khytrov, Lemieux, Quillin, Jacobs, Eubank, Charlo's, Derevyanchenko, Wade, Murata, J-Rock, and Spence to develop a reputation and fight Golovkin.
They don't have that much in common. Hopkins took up boxing late. GGG started boxing when he was 8 years old and before he turned pro he had 350 amateur fights. I hope GGG will be around for several more years but he's been boxing his whole life and it takes a toll on your body so don't be surprised if he'll be past his best in a couple of years.

everyone loves watching ggg fight but if he wants to keep saying no one will fight him and calling out people smaller then him [mayweather, canelo, cotto] without willing to fight people bigger then he is i just dont see how people will not question it. were not talking about a young prospect here were talking about a fighter in his prime with only couple years left of it. Well see what happens in his career but imo he just is not playing the part of the most avoided monster in boxing like people think he is

You do realize that GGG has never said that no one will fight him? He has never accused another fighter of ducking him? He has never said that other fighters are afraid to fight him and in fact has stated that he does not believe that? Do you also realize that GGG has never called out Mayweather, he only answered a question that was asked of him?

Do you actually have any real comprehension of the English language and how to actually understand what people are saying or do you simply fill in your own meanings to suit your requirements?

I think that many people around here need to take a remedial reading course so that they can understand their own language properly.

You dont't just stay in one weight class your entire career and expect the smaller guys to come and fight you after they already moved up 4-5 weight classes to begin with. Don't even mention Hagler, he fought guys who were big like SRL 5' 10", Hearns 6'1". Smallest guy he fought was Duran who went up to 168.
mayweather was young and grew naturally bigger as he aged. golovkin is already at his physical peak, so to move up now would be to disadvantage himself and cut short his prime, which would be an absurd thing to do for just one fight (andre ward) when he was an even bigger one waiting for him in his own division (saul alvarez)

thats not true at all mayweather could of easily stayed at a smaller weight his entire career. he could of stayed at 140 easy and yet he moved all way up to 154 where he was always the smaller fighter by far. people pretend ggg is not capable of putting on muscle and moving up a weight class. he still has no lose over 15 pounds while training to make 160 i just dont get this sentiment that he has to stay at 160. someone should tell him no one gives a **** about belts anymore. besides what happens when he gets all the belts what the excuse then? that he wants to defend his titles? people easily forget he was ready to go up and fight chavez all the sudden 168 was no problem

GGG has indeed called out and attempted to fight men bigger than him, or are people forgetting he signed a contract to fight Chavez Jr. and then tried to fight Froch?

All GGG has to do is, keep fighting the best in his own division. Calling out Floyd? Well, everyone does that. It won't happen, but there's a lot of money there, and it's not insane. What does GGG have to lose? At worst, he's reminding everyone that he's the real star of boxing now, not FLoyd.

Also, funny how even GGG is dissing Floyd, calling him boring. LMAO.

It usually ends badly for guys in boxing, an Golovkin has a lot of rounds fought in his career.

He seems pretty committed to boxing but he hasn't even made it yet, he is not even the hunted yet. One of the biggest humps guys hit in their career is when a guy goes from hunter to hunted, the longer it takes to get to being hunted makes that transition all the more difficult.

Waiting around for the hope that Canelo will eventually fight him, seems like more of the same, artificially staying the hunter.

Does Roy Jones get a ton of respect for going up to fight the weakest heavyweight? And he actually did it it wasn't just talked about~

You actually have to do something to get credit for it, talk is cheap.

He is associating his name with Floyd because Floyd is the super star of boxing,, just because he always plays the villain doesn't make him any less of a star because he is the one generating feelings in people.

GGG is HBO guy, and what is HBO's big kick right now?

Any more excuses, explanations or stories for Golovkin?
