2016 is a year away, Canelo said he needs at least two for some reason. Canelo is just going for the unification of the 155 pound title.

i think they'll go for it in summer or fall 2016, with canelo holding the wbc and ibf and golovkin holding the wba super and wbo.

Canelo needs 2 years, Andrade needs 3, Quillin needs it to be as big as Floyd Pac, Jacobs will fight him but not next, Froch would rather swerve him cause he punches like a mule, Chavez passed on 7m, Cotto wont touch him, Ward needs multiple tuneups...

Well, there's really not much he can do at this point. His best option is just to keep fighting everybody else and hope that Canelo can defeat Cotto and step up to the challenge.

You haven't proved a damn thing. The fact is that Cotto has not been in the ring in a year and has never defended his title. Show me some proof that he wanted to fight and was unable to and I will believe you. And web site rumour and message board posts are not acceptable proof. He could have fought Golovkin at any time over the past year and refused. There is no valid reason or excuse for that. The only real FACT is that Cotto has been ducking Golovkin since the second he won his title.

Only things he lacks is experience vs top level guys, exceptional hand speed, and we rarely seen him fight going backwards

He has a voluntary... The article in question was reported on this very site about HBO's money issues and Cotto waiting til January to make a decision. I'm not going to look for it because I know I read it. You're in here, again, saying Cotto is ducking GGG yet he has a voluntary. We've been through this, again the issue is being unable to get past hate, thus I'm done with you.
