It's not so much discrediting Canelo, I consider him to be the real deal, I had him beating Lara and decisively beating Trout. The only reason the "hate" feels overwhelming is because the fight itself was a mismatch, Kirkland never stood a chance, the layoff was the icin' on the cake and HBO used this fight to belittle Mayweather-Pacquiao, that's as bad as it gets.

Kirkland is not a bum, he is a guy coming off a 17 month layoff that has become more like Gabe Rosado-a guy who gets paid to look great while losing-than he is a viable contender like he used to be.

Maybe he gets back with Wolfe and resurrects himself.

The win was spectacular, but Kirkland did what HBO expected him to do when the OK'd this match.
