If Kovalev is such a bad @$$, why not try the Cruiserweight division?

See theres a double standard, everyone wants Ward to move up to LHW and fight Kovalev his 1st couple fights back but yet Kovalev dont have to move up and prove himself.

No one wants to see Kudryashov fold Kovalev like a wet napkin.

I don't think there's a double standard. Ward has been at the same weight since 2004. Kovalev has only been a professional since 2009.

When people say this, it feels like people are comparing accomplishments when it's obvious Kovalev hasn't done enough in his current division just yet, where Ward has.

Personally, I don't care if either guy doesn't move up. I always believe a fighter should fight where they are most comfortable at. I don't think that should be dictated by their critics.

no double standards lmfao. Just ward is much far ahead career wise (cleaned out 168 well not really but carl froch did so tomatoes tomates) then kovalev (who still has business at 175).

How is that too hard for you to understand?

Of course it makes sense to move up to cruiserweight. I'm sure HBO are dying to make Kovalev vs BJ Flores...

There are no significant cruisers in America, why should he leave light heavy now that he has established himself and is under contract with HBO?
