If Kovalev is such a bad @$$, why not try the Cruiserweight division?

Beterbiev and Alvarez are there too, there are other talents like Mekhontsev coming up and Shabranskky too. Obviously if Ward wants it, that fight is a possibility.

I'm not even a fan of Kovalev. Just saying if you did a little research you wouldn't have to make half the ****** threads you make.

The jump from 175 to 200 is huge. Watch the sparring video of Kovalev vs Guillermo Jones. Kovalev would be tiny in that division. He has no reason to move up especially since 175 is getting hot and hes the man to beat atm.

I'm still hopeful the Stevenson fight happens down the line at some point as long as Stevenson doesnt get KOd by some random.

@NATAS A little research? Ok Mr. boxing historian. Like I said if my threads are so ******, why insult your intelligence by reading or replying, apparently they catch your attention somehow because this isn't my 1st thread you have replied to. Fyi bro, not everyone has to think like you. Not everyone has to have NATAs logic.

Pretty much this lol. Also Kovalev is'nt that big, him and Ward are about the same size. Same height, similar frame. I have no idea about him making weight, but he is 32 so I'm guessing if he can make 175 now, it probably won't be a problem for whatever is left of his prime.

Of course. Nobody moves to cruiserweight unless they can't make 175 anymore. When was the last time you saw a major cruiserweight fight on HBO or Showtime? Probably Toney-Jirov many years ago. There is more money and prestige at lightheavy. That's the reality of this.

He has enough opponents at 175... Now they only have to accept to fight him (on HBO).
