I was still in high school or like my first year in college. Hell, I can't remember but it's been a long time.

btw ortiz, guerrero, Rios, algieri are all james kirkland type fighters

        they have some good qualities

but are not well rounded fighters..

and come on, ortiz is probably the worst, no chin, quits, and then is delusional about the type of fighter he is.

Hmm. One dimensional punching bags Ortiz, Guerrero and Maidana come to mind. They all fall in line with the Ranks of a Kirkland. "they were world champions doe." These fights reek of made to order.

For Pacquiao, Rios, Algieri. Kirkland-esque type of opponents. Made to order.

I respect you as a poster, but this thread is a sh¡t storm on a summer night.

victor ortiz was knocked out by lopez, maidana, and luis freaking collazo.

his claim to fame is going life and death with andre berto.

guerrero was a very good fighter at lower weights, but he's flat footed at 147, and his claim to fame at that weight is also going life and death with andre berto

guerrero was in a war with kamegai, ffs.

if you think floyd mayweather has a great resume because he fought big named, capable fighters constantly, you are disillusioned. he's got a great resume because he's been fighting since the 90's and in several weight classes without a loss.

So somehow in an effort to discredit Canelo's victory we have people saying Kirkland is a no talent hack with a glass chin. (Complete BS)

Ortiz is better and more dangerous than Him
Algeiri is a better opponent than Kirkland.
And Brandon Rios who fights just like Kirkland without the power is a better opponent.

Wow. The ******ity of NSB is ridiculous.

I'd pick Kirkland over Ortiz and Rios but I understand what you are getting at, the skill level of 95% of Manny/Floyds opponents is far and away better than Kirkland.

It didn't help that Kirkland hadn't stayed active, post Angulo Kirkland would have been quite dangerous.

Kirkland hadn't been in the ring for 17 months and has a defenseless style, tailor made for Canelo.

Let's face it. It's time for Canelo to fight Cotto and GGG. Stop pissing around.

Algieri and Rios, Guerrero and Ortiz were poor opponents.

Kirkland was a gimme' fight for Alvarez..matched up because their styles would gel.

Ortiz was a shocking opponent to pick as well mind.
