Btw I'm not believing or disbelieving. I'm playing Devils Advocate here
Yeah he did, Hbo talk about for a good 5minutes during the fight after Mayweather complains in the corner at the end of the 3rd round

I messed up my arm pitching in HS, never got it looked at. Then hitting the heavy bag one day training, I felt the same sharp ass pain right at the top outside of my right shoulder. It hurt like a mother ****er and I couldn't lift my arm, I felt okay until I got home and nearly dropped my kid when they were still a baby trying to lift him up.

I still never went to a doctor for it, it healed up eventually. The only reason I think it might be the same thing now is a video I saw on ESPN. I think I saw it on the app about some lady who said a partial tear is the same exact pain in the same area. Ironically she said it happens in older or younger people, not middle aged very often. Usually it's over time or a sudden injury, you get it both ways but it tends to flare up after doing tough work.

I don't know if it's the same injury, but after watching that video and my bad ass webMD skills I'm pretty sure it is. Here's the thing though, I can go out and throw a ball still and punch and lift pretty normally. However, the next day if I threw a lot my shoulder is done. If I try to throw the next day I can barely get my shoulder to rotate over my head, hurts like a mother ****er. I'll need surgery at some point I know it, I imagine Manny wanted the shot as a precaution more than anything. He should have been fine for the most part, (if he was rested) if it's similar to mine, but that shot he took the shoulder/chin could have really ****ed it up right then. He loses regardless anyway, it didn't affect the outcome.

Alot of people think if he got this shoulder shot, he wouldve won by ko in round1. Point im making is has Manny ever in his career accepted a loss for what it is rather than coming up with a never ending supply of excuses?

It all depends on the severity of the tear. It could be full blown, it could be partial, it could be caused by a formerly dislocated shoulder. It depends.

What happened to Kevin Love happened to me and I wondered why he had surgery. I suppose because he was at risk for popping it/tearing the cuff later because he ****s playing basketball.

I think Pacquiao had a partial tear, and it did affect his performance, especially because he couldn't take NSAID's right before the fight like he probably did during training camp.

He still used his arm pretty frequently. Whether they mention it in the corner or not isn't a deciding factor to the legitimacy of the injury

Bradley also had a severe tear in his calf but was able to move, so I guess he didn't have a legit injury either according to the OP. Bradley had to have surgery as well. Pac wasn't the same, even before I knew about the injury I could tell something was wrong with him he was letting Floyd roll to the right without throwing his right hook countere that he does to guys who roll to the right off the ropes.

I watched the replay in HD and Pacs right shoulder was turning red during the right, I wonder if that was blood under the skin, Floyd did yank at his right arm in the clinch, and Floyd openly admit many times he knew everything going on in Pacs camp even how many times he took a dump, he admit he had spys in his camp, this is a guy who claims he never watches a fighters tapes or cares about them. So I guess he was lying too.

I think Floyd beats Pacquiao even if Pac was 100 percent, but it would be at least more eventful with a two arm Pac. The rematch Floyd will win again moving and holding and pot shotting. Pac doesn;'t have the foot speed he used to have, and Roach sucks at game planning.

Did you watch him in the post fight interview when he got robbed against Bradley? He didn't seem to have an excuse there during the post fight with Kellerman.

"I did my best," Pacquiao said. "I guess my best wasn't good enough."

Isnt that normal?. People forget Manny is the biggest sore loser in bixing. "I lost because of cletoreyes gloves", "I would have knocked bradley out but I had leg cramps", "I got knocked out because I(nothing to do with Marquez) was being over aggressive, "I had a severely torn shoulder". Even Arum made him look like a fool after saying "thats an OLD injury".
1st off...broken refers to bone. He never claimed anything was broken. You tear soft tissue. When I was working up my bench press to a 3 plate (315 lb) press I tore my rotator cuff somewhere around 275. It hurt and I used to ice my shoulder a few times a day..do acupressure and take anti-inflammatories daily.

I should have stopped but I was so hard headed and close to my goal that I ignored all the signs that I was doing severe damage to myself. In spite of all the pain and insanity I was going through I persisted and reached my goal and beyond until I had no choice but to stop and let things heal. I never had surgery and it took a long time but things are more or less OK. If I were a pro athlete I definitely would require surgery...but I'm not so I just keep things within my limitations. I have a little clicking when I bench press but keep things under control and moderate. Looking back I can say it was a pretty ****** approach to things but I can tell you that someone with a torn rotator cuff can still push themselves beyond what you might not believe is possible...but there is no way in hell you will be performing anywhere near your peak obviously.

Considering he had surgery by a renowned surgeon...I have no doubt his injury was real...and I can totally see how he competed anyways with it but would have been at a pretty big disadvantage. I'm sure other people on here have experienced that type of injury and can concur what I am saying. You have to believe that a pro boxer is someone with a higher threshold of pain. My buddy who used to box pro partially tore his achilles tendon in the 1st round of a 6 round fight and finished the fight stationary working off the jab. It was insane and his face was beaten beyond recognition. His leg was put in a cast right up to the hip after the fight to immobilize it for a few months. I still don't understand that type of determination and ability to ignore pain...and he was just a low level fighter earning small change and nowhere near the caliber of a Pacquiao. So although you may not believe he could fight like that with a torn rotator...It's not really that hard to understand.
