Well, if you are under the belief that WSB (World Series of Boxing) semi-pro bouts count, he had about 6 of those and went 6-0, so really he could be at around the 10-1 mark. To be honest, that 1 loss really means nothing in the grand scheme of things. No fighter, whether it be Rigondeaux, or Mayweather, would have easily defeated a fighter like Salido in their 2nd pro fight. Rigo's second opponent had a 4-2-3 record, Floyd's 1-1.

Fighting a seasoned veteran World champ, with all those dirty tricks and all the advantages of weight etc, no 2nd-fight pro would be winning that fight. And I personally had that a draw at worst for Loma, considering the punch stats where he outlanded Salido, and Salido should have been deducted points for low blows. But that is irrelevent.

What I am saying is - would Loma be more seasoned in your opinion if he was 25-0 beating all bums rather than his current career path? He has nothing to learn other than pacing himself and being used to pro tricks. He has shown he is learning quickly and getting to grips with it. He has already shown he can overcome adversity and come back stronger (beat a big talent in GRJ straight after the Salido dissapointment), and has fought through an injury 1 handed throwing 1000 punches v a tough, solid Thai. And in his last fight again fought someone who tried to cheat and low blow, and he is now reacting better.

Amount of fights matters little, it is about the quality of the opponents and the lessons you learn from those fights. On paper Loma is green, but considering his extensive am career which is much longer than most, and tough pro upbringing, i'd actually say that Walters is the green fighter here.

This is the money fight right here for both guys. Gain some popularity in a should-be explosive fight then fight Gary Russell Jr. after Haymon has gotten him some praise as America's great little fighter.

I don't think Russell will want that fight straight away. Loma already outclassed him and if Walters wins that is a dangerous fight for GRJ, who is a small guy even for that weight.

Personally I think Loma wins, Walters comes back by fighting GRJ, Loma fights Gradovich/Selby, Loma wins that and then fights winner of GRJ/Walters. Wins that then fights Rigo.

I actually had Loma winning the fight against Salido, but I'll admit I'm probably a little biased. I'm very shocked they gave it to Salido because it's not like Salido was affective, Loma just didn't know how to pace himself and didn't know how to react to the dirty tactics.

Walters best wins are agaisnt former Flyweights! Unless Walters can hurt Loma, I think Loma will beat Walters easier than people think imo.

Hopefully this comes off. Would be a great fight.

There is some other decent level names in the division that Loma could fight first though..get a few more fights under his belt.

Awesome fight. Al Haymon better not jump in and swoop up Walters before it happens (there was a rumour going around a few months ago that they were linking up).
