Its too late now, but maybe Manny should have taken more difficult "style" fights early in his career to better prepare him for more talented fighters.

Maybe fighting a Zahir Raheem or Dimitry Salita, taller , bigger men that box and move, may have given him insight on cutting of ring, finding angles to score, etc. that could have prepared him for Floyd better.

He should be made to earn a win, not have one given to him to falsely inflate his stock again.

      I don't think it's Crawford-Pacquiao next.

Erm....I think you're in the wrong thread buddy. This thread is about #48 vs Matthysse.

Sounds like a good fight. Just make sure he has guys who will just stand still and let him hit them like Margarito, ear muff Clottey, come forward only Hatton and a drained DLH.

Throwing your shoulder out from missing big punches and being countered is a bummer.

I don't think so either, Pacquiao has to come back and look good against somebody else. Then it's Crawford, it's destined to happen.

lol ya that fight would be awesome but this whole sentiment that paulie dont know what hes talking about just because hes truthful about pac or that he gets beat in the ring is ridiculous. the fact the guy has had world titles with his skill set shows just how smart he is when it comes to boxing. obviously the guy has gotten personal with pac but what do u expect when day in day out he has to deal with pac fanatics. i mean you would think paulie killed peoples moms by the way they get mad just cause paulie thinks he did ped and that mayweather was better. Obviously tho a paulie pac fight would sell just from paulie himself lol

I edited into one of my other comments where Pac says he'll beat Tim Bradley (and later says Bradley would beat Pac) and that he'll beat Pacquiao. Maybe he's generally knowledgeable about boxing, but his vision is definitely blurry whenever it comes to Pacquiao.

because he picked a winner wrong? lol spare me the guy has been crucified because he truly believes pac used ped to get to the top and he always thought mayweather would beat him those 2 things alone make people hate him even tho they were well spread out thoughts thru the boxing world. but to pretend he not a great boxing mind is to ignore reality. so he thought bradley would beat pac big deal so did a ton of other very smart people just like a lot of very smart people thought pac had a chance against mayweather all these years

ill give you that he makes it personal with pac but fair or not the reason is pac fanatics just wont let him have an opinion they have literally sent him death threats they talk **** to him non stop for 5 years at some point you are going to take it personal if you see some **** they say about him its ridiculous.

I disagree with Paulie. I think this is a bad style match up for Pacquiao at this stage of his career. He's more than been through his share of ring wars with the likes of the Eric Morales', Juan Manuel Marquez' and the Antonio Marco Barrera's. He has nothing left to prove at this point by displaying his mettle against a hungry lion like Lucas Matthysse. This fight could possibly age him and ruin whatever is left of his career.
