Would love this fight, but it won't come to fruition.

WHAT?!! Somebody FINALLY calling out Manny instead of Floyd. I'm shocked. Though Manny would give Mathyesse that "work"...

Pacquiao needs to get out of the game. This is exactly why.

Oscar and others are going to keep trying to put Manny in with younger, dangerous, very live guys and it's not going to be good for Manny's health.

I'm not saying he can't beat Matthysse or anything like that, but Matthysse is a dangerous boxer among many others and Pacquiao is going to be 38 by the time he gets back in the ring from his surgery.

Manny's style is not going to hold up well with age. Let's let a legend retire with dignity and his health. Oscar is a money shark.

Manny has nothing to gain by taking this fight. Then again, he may not have too many options.

                What about Crawford?
You think Top Rank would feed Manny to a Golden Boy fighter coming off of an injury?
                Oscar needs to wake up.
You won't put your guy in with GGG, but you expect another promoter to put their best guy in with a dangerous puncher, when they have better fighters on their roster they can match them up with?

Anyway, the only interesting part of this is that De La Hoya isn't looking at Matthysse-Pacquiao for this year, which means Matthysse-Crawford might be a goer.
id say canelo which is probably to big as they would have to do a 152 type thing again even tho pac weighed more then mayweather on fight night canelo is even bigger since he fought mayweather, khan, brook maybe another marquez clash. maybe even maidana, matyssee kinda makes sense but its a major stretch all he did was beat overrated provo. He also got schooled by garcia and went life and death with molina so imo matyssee is a pointless fight. The other fight that makes some sense is crawford at 140-144 in that area. obviously the word elite is probably a bad word but i know what hes saying hes saying no more bs algeiri/rios type fights that are just made for him to look good and make sure he didnt lose before the mayweather fight. At the same time i would not blame floyd or manny for fighting one last fight againjst whoever the hell they want they are getting old but floyd kinda earned it at this point with everyone trying always say he was scared of someone. But i agree manny has no reason to fight unless hes trying to prove something and the only way he can do that is by fighting the upper echelon of fighters. Well see what happens but im not like everyone else i think boxing will be fine without mayweather and pac. ya they are both great but so what boxing will get another

4-6 months wasn't it? I don't expect to see him again this year though. If Pacquiao does show up it will be December.

Not a chance in hell of what? If you mean Matthysse-Crawford, the WBO could potentially order it. Iirc Crawford only got the shot on the condition the winner fight Algieri.

I don't see Matthysse as a Rios/Algieri fight. Pacquiao should win, but he has a legit chance of getting ktfo'd.

This is true but if Pacman gets caught with a shot I think he could get put to sleep
