Apart from his ill-advised comeback, Hatton's only defeats came when he moved up in weight to test himself against Floyd and Manny, who are ATGs and were at the peak of their powers when Ricky fought them both, back to back.

If he'd played it safe instead of taking risks like that, Hatton could easily have retired unbeaten. The sad thing about Hatton is that he could have been even better than he was if he'd respected his body and looked after himself in between fights, the way Manny and Floyd do.
Hatton had one great win against Tszyu that wasn't necessarily even a great fight, and the Russian never fought again. He lost in every way against Collazo accept of course on the scorecards. He struggled with Lazcano and was easily beaten by the two truly elite fighters he faced, nothing wrong with that. Yet he was still on many P4P list to include Ring magazines. As I said I was a fan and really enjoyed watching him fight I just don't believe that he had anywhere near a P4P career. So again I believe that he was overrated by many to include Ring magazine.

Jr has brought in the sport the divisiveness of debauchery and degradation. He has changed the way of judging a boxing match on a high level, thru the means of MONEY. Judges used to judge a fight on how a fighter BRINGS the fight and the most meaningful punches, they didn't grade on pitty pat punches but JR changed that , he chose to make people dislike him , Judges started giving points on pity pats and chicken running.

      BOXING is GROANING

A Separation is trying to evolve.

The old School wants fights like CANELO KIRKLAND

The young brash without conscience ,,,,,this generation,,,, is more interested in the Chickenized debauchery style of what they determine as boxing.

      WHO WILL WIN OUT ????????????????

      WILL the OLD SCHOOL ??

      or

WILL THE NEW PINK PANTIE CLUB WITH MAYWEATHER AS ITS GENERAL ?

Leonard beat Hagler the exact same way Floyd beat Pacquiao. Dancing, tying up, countering him, frustrating him. Racking up points with the jab. Hagler stalking all night looking like an angry pitbull that can't corner his meal. Sugar Ray won because he was the superior boxer.

Larry Merchant commentating called Leonard "tactical and smart". That same style is called "running and boring" when Floyd does it.

The sport is called Boxing, not let's fight to the death. Go watch bum fighs on YouTube. That's exactly what Canelo-Kirkland was. Kirkland is a bum with no defense, no strategy, no brains. Put Canelo in a ring with actual boxers like Floyd and Lara and he looks silly everytime.

Cesar Chavez looked silly vs Whitaker.
Erik Morales looked silly vs Zahir Raheem.
Carl Froch looked ****** vs Ward.
          Donaire was humiliated vs Rigo.

Why are you condemning boxers for mastering the science of boxing?

If you're bored go watch bum fights on YouTube.

Well when Floyd played nice early in his career, nobody cared. When he became an actor selling a narrative, everyone started to "pay" attention.

The difference between Mayweather and Hatton- a few hundred million. Floyd is a showman and figured out how to sell fights. But all and all, Hatton's right.. lol

Bottom line, your GOD- Mayweather has used and abused the holding scheme one too many times. I along with other boxing fans will continue to watch boxing and will celebrate when Mayweather retires. It will be for the better of the sport - And dont' try to make this a "black thang" Because it's not.

What was Hatton supposed to say during the build up? "Er well, i don't really have much of a chance against him but buy the fight anyway yeah"
Universally, lol, that extents to the north of England too, I guess it must have, even you have heard of Mayweather all the way up on the those hills in Lancashire, along with the sheep.

Lol, you're impossible man, you follow me from thread to thread still butt stung and strung from the last thread. Stopping taking all your boxers deficiencies so damned personal man.

The UK has some great prospects and former champions like Calzaghe and Lewis, unfortunately guys like Hatton don't compare to those legends. He had an overrated career and was made to look ****** in the biggest fight of his career, even his biggest win versus Tszyu he didn't really establish himself as front runner until he gave Kostya the low blow to slow the 35 year old, kinda pathetic really Fat Boy had to resort to those kind of tactics really.

Floyd is light years ahead, fights at a higher level and always has been a level above Hatton, their is literally no version of Hatton that could ever compete on that level, it was a bad match up from the start, if Tszyu could make Hatton look average, Floyd was always gonna make him look ******, which for the record, he did.

He was fun to watch, at a certain level, take Paulie Malignaggi for instance fighting guys like Paulie made Hatton look great, I mean Lazcano like Tszyu never fought again after facing Ricky but unfortunately he never really looked thoroughly convincing over those guys, you could see he wasnt far from his ceiling at that level.

As i said, Floyd's success will bring out the hypocrisy in other fighters. Many will be surprised at the envy and hypocrisy they have deep within them.
