Canelo needed to change trainers after his loss to Floyd, it was the perfect time.

He doesn't need new trainers. Not everyone needs a new trainer. Often times it doesn't really fix the problem.
What he does need however is a better conditioning coach. He has to make weight better and have better stamina.

          nope.

          canelo is what he is.

speed will trouble him. his feet are slow.

dudes who come to him will probably go home with a headache, sore ribs, and a respect for mexico.

They should do like they did with De La Hoya and bring in a notable trainer to "assist" in training. Oscar did this when he brought in Emmanuel Steward in cause Alcazar wasn't cutting it anymore.

Exactly, Chepo and co have done a fantastic job with this kid. He throws in combinations, he takes angles and can fight going backwards, forwards and counter punch.

He loses to the best pound for pound fighter in the world and he now needs new trainers...lol

Like Canelo said after the fight when asked about will this shut up his critics, he said of course not, they will always be complaining no matter what I do. He's all of 24 and has fought the best the division has had to offer and people still say his resume is weak, amazing.

People just aren't very smart on this site.

As for your question, to learn what exactly? Canelo is young, but he has 46 pro fights. It is about muscle memory and repetition not age. If it ain't broke don't fix it. At this point Canelo should stick with it. Can't blame your trainer for getting outclassed by the best fighter of this generation.

                    green karma.

nobody is going to turn saul alvarez into muhammad ali. his style suits very well his physical attributes. he's a hell of a fighter. he's got a very polished offense and tremendous power.

I just think Canelo needs a new trainer because he needs someone to really push him.

What I see from Canelo in camp is all about comfort and if you are in your comfort zone you aren't pushing yourself, if you aren't pushing yourself you are stagnating, if you are stagnating you are getting worse because there is no staying the same.

I just see Canelo as too much the boss in his camp.
