I would say give him Nacho as a trainer

    and Memo for the stam

now he would be more of a beast than he is now.

that **** would be scary tbh

No stamina might be him killing himself to make 155, and for the foot work maybe you are right. I honestly think we have to wait and see if he really isn't improving when he fights another slippery fighter, someone like Andrade would be a good test. Still hopefully he fights Cotto next, and maybe Golovkin after.

Yes, but what exactly is he going to learn? What "major" gaps are there to be filled? Robert Garcia tuned Maidana's aggression or Hunter taught Khan defense because there were significant areas to improve. With Alvarez all around he is very good, no major gaps. Correct if I'm wrong.

Speaking of World Class, Virgil Hunter also started with Andre Ward since, day 1 like Chepo did with Alvarez. That's how they all start. You should look in to the interesting set up of Frampton. It is all about what works for you. Some live at home for camps others go to Big Bear.

Alvarez may be young, but he does have 46 pro fights. At this point he does know how to fight, a new trainer can't reteach that. Minor tweaks here and there are the norm at World class, so I'm sure they add as they go. If Cotto went to Roach that was to reclaim his lost identity not relearn how to box.

well a new trainer can also improve what Canelo already does. Like nacho could make his counter punching way better. another trainer could help him in footwork which is basically the major area where canelo is lacking as far as skills go. Canelo can def improve regardless if he is a good fighter already.

you even said Hunter helped Khan with defense and even though ppl love to hate on him he was already a good fighter before he got with hunter.

Hopkins should train him, he just needs a translator.

Rrrright! Now go look up the extensive decorated career of Angelo Dundee before he became a trainer.

he could go to oxnard. robert garcia could definitely help him improve. not as much as nacho but nacho is a top 10 trainer all time tbh.

My major point in that post was "major areas to improve". Khan is good, but a "major" area was his defense.

Saul Alvarez does everything fine, some better than others and fights like a veteran. There is always room for improvement, but those are going to be minor tweaks that these guys are good enough to improve. I don't see any major gaps in his game, hence I believe if it ain't broke don't fix it at least at this point.
