QUOTE=NEELZ;15671288]Kirkland was hit by bombs knocked down twice and brutally KOed when it looked like he was possibly seriously hurt.

Pacquiao was not hit with hard punches. Many of Mayweather's punches appeared to hit his gloves or miss. He was not damaged and on the second viewing of the fight, I am even more dubious of calling that a clear Mayweather win. There is a vast difference between those fights.[/QUOTE]

other than round 4 & 6 theres a good argument that Manny didn't win a single other round. Mayweather won that fight clearly and outhrew/outlanded the busy 'machine' pacquaio. Go rewatch pacquaios prefight workout in vegas its on youtube, trains hard for over an hour throwing the right hand like a beast, after the fight he was soo injured he could hardly use his right hand, yeahhhhhhh sure buddy

sort of a moot point, rd's 4 & 6 were bigger rounds than any of the rest of the rounds in the fight, if those are the only rounds you can see for pacquiao then is the only way you can have him winning is if he's hurting and beating the sht outta floyd every round?

I've watched the fight closely. Mayweather doesn't impress me nearly as much as he impresses you and other people. I'm not convincing you and you are not changing my mind.

Mayweather did not punch very effectively from my point of view. I saw the fight as close. Pacquiao punched more effectively.

I think Mayweather gets more credit that he deserves because he is an ATG and people remember how great he was, and exaggerate what he is doing presently to prop up his fading reputation.

Go back and watch round 4 right now, beating the **** out of him? lmao pacquaio flurries for about 90seconds and literally nothing happens the rest of the round other than Floyd landing flush jabs. He iwns the round because the flurry was nice and looks like he hurt Floyd but he did not beat in any way shape of form, Floyd was coming forward later in the same round lmao

            Completely different situations.

I remember Pacquiao being pretty humble after JMM IV

edit: Just remember lucky punch gate. Pacs team are ****s, Pac himself was pretty humble lol

Fading reputation? Pacquaio was coming off dominant performances over undefeated tim Bradley and chris algieri where he looked every bit as good as manny of old, people love to bash on mayweather because of his personality outside of the sport but in the ring he will go down as a top5atg having just beat another top10atg and having several top100atgs in his resume(mosley, cotto, delahoya). The best of the next generation is considered canelo, the best of this generation was considered pacquaio, and the best of the previous generation was considered mosley, Mayweather beat them all clearly and established his dominance

Yes Kirkland was quite classy and gracious in his defeat to Canelo. He didn't make any excuses. He basically said that the better man won and because of that I commend him for it.

At first I was willing to give Pac the benefit of the doubt when he said that he thought he had won the fight because it was easier for him to do so. For instance, he was the one chasing Floyd around the ring throughout much of the night and wasn't knocked out or at anytime seriously hurt or in danger of being stopped by him. He was just simply outclassed by him.

However, later on he changed his tune at the post fight news conference and conceded that he had indeed lost the fight to Mayweather. He made many convenient excuses about an alleged torn rotator cuff he suffered three weeks prior, which he never complained about either during or before the fight and as a result has caused many boxing and casual fans alike to turn on him and lose a lot of respect for him in the process.
