¿Did anyone expect something else? People talk about Khan having a glass jaw, well Kirkland's jaw is worse, he has a "gelatin" jaw..It was a entertaining fight while it lasted cause Kirkland is a straight foward fighter that comes out swining, but once he gets tagged on that jaw it's over..

Not sure about that man. Kirkland stood up some thunder. Canelo landed bombs o him. His chin and determination kept him in there for 3 rounds.

Well, so much for a Floyd rematch.

As for the fight, exactly what I expected except that Canelo stays in the ropes, way, way, way too much. Even Cotto never sat in them that long, that's is a really bad habit. Other than that, Kirkland has no ****ing chin at all, none. Worse than Khan which is insane to say, but that guy has the worst chin I've probably seen on any professional boxer.

Did you not see the vicious punches he was taking yet he still was coming forward, still throwing punches?
I don't think a man with a weak chin last that long. Kirkland was a warrior who was beaten by a better fighter. That is it.

Don't take away credit from Canelo by making ridiculous statements of Kirkland having a glass chin when we just saw the punches he took.

Kirkland was KO'd faster by a guy with 8 KO's, just stop. The guy has been dropped and visibly hurt worse than Khan has. They have the same number of KO's, the only reason Khan isn't hurt as much is because he actually has some boxing ability. This was a guy who's best win is Angulo a D class fighter and hasn't fought in 18 months without a trainer he does best with. This was essentially rob salka/Garcia albeit with guys of equal size. Everyone knew it was Canelo by KO early, anyone that knows ANYTHING about boxing knew it would like this.

The whole reason Canelo walked away the first time was because he didn't want to fight in NY this June. It's why he ended up fighting Kirkland in Texas lol.

I am so f*cling ecstatic that Canelo upstaged that MoFo Mayweather!

Entertaining fight and I did enjoy it but you all know that Kirk had ZERO defense, open to uppercuts all night, no head movement, hands down every time he attempted to punch and no foot work.

Another thing that I noticed was that he threw lots of arm punches, they landed on Canelo but more of arm punches.

On Canelo he showed fast combos, and his body work was good. But some of this punches could be seen a mile away since he is trying to unload or over load them. His defense was very questionable, since Kirk was landing at will and he is slow. Lastly, I saw a gassed Canelo by the end of round 1 and even the HBO commentators stated that he seem punched out by round 2.

On Cotto vs Canelo, Miguel is no Kirk or Angulo...he has defense, footwork, fast, accurate and does not throw arm punches lol! Ill expect FOY candidate for Cotto - Canelo.
