Lomanchenko is not one dimensional, he doesn't just stay on the outside, he works his range almost equally.
yup, guys are praising these boxers who mainly stand far away and only throw shots to score points or keep their distance, yet Loma does it all, offense and defense at the same time, its harder to be highly offensive and win impressively than it is to be super defensive, anyone can be defensive and win, watch that miguel vasquez vs gesta fight two defensive guys, in one of the most boring fights, but someone was able to squeek a win out.

Same with Floyd vs Manny, Floyd didnt shine through, his own father told him to throw more, it was one of the worst performances from him, they like to praise him for keeping his distance, and blame Pac for the fight being boring, how is that so? when you are the one controlling the range its up to you to excite, Floyd could have threw more but he chose to play it safe.

Rigo has some good fights but when he does trade blows he gets hurt or dropped, Loma chenko can trade punches without getting hit flush often, he gets hit once and a while just like very boxer, but the guy can slip out of range and in range. he is a true master of it all.

Agree, literally swimming without getting wet.

I see that Rigo is actually pretty good on the inside, he catches a lot of those short shots on his elbows. His style is not necessary text book, he takes some liberties, so eventually something gets in when he has his hands down.

Loma was slippery, throwing combos, in and out, slipping, ducking, dodging and returning fire with a high work rate, this man is amazing to watch.

He also was given a hard road, no easy fights, and he won a title in under 5 fights, no soft touches for this guy, he even fought a cheating overweight hard hitting pressure fighting veteran orlando salido with hurt hands, and nearly came back at the end.

This man is the sweet science to a T.

I want to see Rigondeaux challenge Loma for the belt that will be a great fighter two olympic gold medalists and technical.

Nice that he made the transition from the amateur style (where he was more decorated like a Christmas tree) to the pro style. Guys like Rigo and Floyd still fight like amateurs, and I don't mean that as an insult because they're both extremely high on the P4P list.

I think he means that they rely on scoring points to win.

And people complained about Canelo was overhyped...

Take a break, sit back in your couch and let the time decide if he will be the guy you think he will be. Sorry I'm not falling for force fed hype automatically based on fighters amateur records, I rather believe to my two eyes and based on them I think he is a very talented fighter but also a not perfect fighter and a beatable fighter as Salido proved already.
Mayweather had more offensive style in the past when he was in his original weight class, so you should compare the Mayweather in 130 to him if you really want to compare them.
As for Rigo, his KO percentage is actually better than Loma's so maybe he isn't THAT defensive minded...

I don't get the crazy hype for Loma. He schooled 2-3 no hopers, he beat a pretty game Gary Russell (his best win so far) and he lost to Salido in a dog fight. So what's the hype stand for? I seriously ask. Maybe just because I don't like the (yet?) undeserved, force fed hype, not just in boxing but in every sports.

Lets see how Lomo fights at 147 at 38 years old

He lost to the biggest challenge in his pro career, by the name of Salido.

Loma is great I would love to see him vs Rigo. Loma's a different fighter than we thought he would be. People thought he was going to carry over his power, but he hasn't. So it would be interesting.

Its also a myth that Rigo doesn't engage. The faces of his opponents says otherwise.
