And of course Floyd wasn't trying to take Manny out. He's far too measured with his punch output. He could still knock folks out if he put more punches together, but that's not Floyd.. But....when he did throw, he was throwing with authority. Just as hard as PAC, and that's one reason why he had PAC the most gunshy we've ever seen him.

Hope they throw this on HBOgo soon so I can rewatch it. I was too drunk and angry watching it live last week.Last edited by sceneboxing; 05-10-2015, 01:00 AM.

Floyd fans are the saddest, they act like this was an azz whooping, the one judge who had it 118-110 had me shaking me head, I had it 7-5 for Floyd, but most people thought it was a draw around me.
It was a disappointed fight, and win for Floyd, his father wanted him to outdo Marquez and Morales but doing a sensational combo punch win similar to how he beat Gatti, Pac was ready to be taken out, he was a dead goose but Floyd hesitated, I believe Floyd was scared of Pacs power, I underestimated Pacs power big time, he hurt Floyd in the fight while Floyd couldnlt hurt him.
All in All its not a win to boast about, its like Pac fans if they were to boast about his win over Marquez in the 3rd fight, its a weak win and any fan of Floyd should be disappointed he is the man who controls the fight, yet didnt finish the show with action and long reach combos, he had the clear reach advantage.
I was embarrassed for boxing that night.
So I expected that type of scoring from him against Manny.

If you ask a lot of people who got hurt the most in this fight, it was Floyd. That alone shows who put the hurt in the hurt game.
This to most saw Pac winning just by effective aggression pinning Floyd over and over to the ropes, and making Floyd run for dear life. And the more telling blows which also gave the more highlight worthy punches of the night was pac's.
Pac clearly won, the least should have been a draw. It was that obvious who truly won that night and its not the one who got booed after being announced he won it.Last edited by Spoon23; 05-10-2015, 03:21 AM.

Minimum here is a draw. To give Floyd the W, will get a boo from the crowd.
As how it all went out.
It's obviously smoke and mirrors, the judge giving 2 rounds shows you how influential Floyd is in Vegas, that right there was a glaring sign Pac won't win a decision against Floyd. He needed a KO in Vegas.

I was texting my brother during the fight while we scored it and I distinctly remember a couple of occasions stating that I was going to give Floyd the round, even though he was highly inactive. Case in point, for example, was the 10th round. I gave it to Floyd watching it live but when I went back and watched it there is a very long stretch of inactivity from Floyd while Pacquiao is chasing. I get that you don't get to score if you don't land punches, but if neither fighter is landing, you have to score it for the busier fighter.
The two judges that scored the fight 116-112 gave Pacquiao rounds 4,6, 9, and 10.
I personally can't see 9, but that's just me.
As I stated in another topic, most people have Floyd winning, and outcry from Pacquiao fans is meek at best. It was Floyd winning, and he got it done convincingly. I celebrated as much as the next Floyd fan when I saw it live. However, it's not like this was one of his best performances ever, or a clinic for that matter.
Mayweather-Baldomir, Mayweather-Corrales, and Mayweather-Mosley after round 2 was a clinic. Winky Wright-Tito Trinidad, Pacquiao-Clottey, and Mosley-Margarito was a clinic...okay, that last one was technically a beatdown of epic proportions but you get the picture.
I'm happy that Floyd won, yet surprised to see the aftermath of the fight and the hypocrisy swirling all around. You got haters saying that Floyd lost the fight (deluded), you got praisers saying it was a "masterful performance" (bit of a stretch), and then you got celebrities saying "this is boxing. the art of hitting and not getting hit", yet they probably don't have a clue as to who Paulie Malignaggi, Ivan Calderon, or Guillermo Rigondeaux are.
I'm done, fellas. ¡Viva Puerto Rico and viva Mexico!
