I think Khan could beat Mayweather.

Khan has been getting better and better, until we saw the polished product against Alexander. One of the finest displays of boxing outside of Mayweather.

Khan obviously doesn't have the adjustment skills of Mayweather, but he doesn't need to. When you're that fast, and that straight, and you box that well at range, you can give anybody trouble.

This is why I think Mayweather will definitely not fight Khan. He'll fight Danny Garcia, Cotto II, or Pac II. Surely, Pac II will happen, regardless of what Floyd said. Depends on if Floyd is still willing to put in the work to be fight ready for all that money.

The up jab whilst Mayweather starts sliding to Khan's left and the right hook around the guard, if it ever materializes expect a lot of that. That said it's a shit fight, I don't think people realize it.

And the way that Khan holds his head while punching you know he will get timed and countered

Lol I wonder if I could get good odds on Floyd T/KOs this guy. If not still safe to say Mayweather gonna school him. But he might be the only one hasn't fought yet with the boxing skills necessary to make it interesting at times.

Anybody rooting for a matchup with someone else? And if so, who?

Duran would not beat Mayweatherbat 147 Duran was an ok Welterweight other than beating Leonard, didnt do much at the weight. He was embarrased by a less talented fighter with similar skill set than Mayweather in wilfredo Benitez. Duran quit when leonard fought him like Mayweather fights out of frustration. He then lost to Kirkland Lang a below average fight from UK. That 67 inch reach would have been and issue. Leonard struggled with Benitez before figuring him out would have beat Floyd in a close fight down to the wire, but i always said a fighter like Hearns had to many physical advantages for Floyd. But Floyd would have held his own in any era because he prepared better than those guys, Duran wasnt discipline, leonard did coke which is why he was finished by age of 34, i grew up watching boxing in that era my favorite era seen them all Floyd would beat a few of those guys of Chavez, Pryor, Benitez, Duran, Leonard, Hearns, Whitaker, he would only lose to Hearns and Leonard, the type of guy that would give him trouble is a prime Vernon Forrest too much length

That's how I see it too.

Khan is a legit threat, but he does NOT deserve the fight! Khan keeps fighting "stay busy" opponents, and not looking to make a statement. Guererro, Thurman, Porter, Maidana, Perterson, Garcia, and Broner, are all much better choices than Algeri. They're all also Haymon fighters, so any of them should be easy to get fights. Most of all, Brook has a belt! What better way to prove your worth, than by beating Brook, the only other WW with a belt?

Lang was never a below average fighter, he was just erratic in his lifestyle and preparation. On his game he would have given anyone trouble. Mayweather at welter does not beat Leonard or Hearns agreed. Though I feel Duran would not respect Mayweather's power the way he had to respect Leonard's, so would beat him.

And Khan has the range, footwork and fast combinations to give Floyd all the trouble in the world. Just Khan's jab would cause him problems. This would never be an easy fight for Floyd.

I think Danny Garcia has earned his shot, even though Peterson whooped him pretty good. Danny Garcia's resume is better than Khan's. Khan has time to try to be #50. All he has to do is beat Thurman, Maidana, or the winner of Porter vs. Broner! Algeri is not gonna do it for me.
