I always cringe when guys like AL compares fighters of another era to Floyd. Tommy Hearns is much much bigger than Mayweather a fight between them really was never realistic. Hearns prime was like age 22-30 Mayweather didn't even become a full welterweight until he was 29 years old, and again I stress 29! By age 30 Hearns was fighting regularly at middleweight to even as high as light heavyweight.

So In fantasy land lets say same era. Both are 30 years old(when they were closest in weight still in prime.) Hearns no doubt would of had to meet Mayweather at a weight he would have been drained at. Much like Corrales did. Likely 150-151 and from watching Hearns old fights he probably would have been gassed after a few rds and Mayweather wins a decision or KO's him Corrales style.

I 100% agree. Al is on point IMO. I've been telling folks this. Kahn is fast has range (actually has a longer reach than mayweather) and has decent power. His chin is suspect but mayweather isn't a big enough puncher to KO Kahn. To win this fight Floyd would need to the aggressor maybe even brawl... Stylistically this is a nightmare match up for Floyd

In reality Floyd has a longer reach than Khan and is only an 1/2 inch shorter,This fight is nothing like Mayweather vs Hearns to even suggest that is laughable.

I love what Hunter is doing with Khan. I always thought Devon Alexander's style was perfectly suited for him but he still looked great. IDK if Khan gets Floyd's farewell but I'm already looking forward to the next superfight at WW:

          Khan vs. Thurman

Well let me qualify my previous comment - Kahn is nothing like hearns yes to suggest the comparison is laughable. I'm referring to the match between Kahn and mayweather. I really don't think that's a good match up for Floyd. I believe Kahn is faster than mayweather too. Styles make fights. To beat kahn you gotta fight on the inside cut the ring and land big punches this puts mayweather out of his comfort zone

Hearns, Leonard and Duran in their prime would beat Mayweather. Khan would be out-pointed by Mayweather, unless Mayweather all of sudden grows old overnight, but the Mayweather in with Manny would outpoint Khan.

                Would Khan win?

I disagree,Khan throws the same combinations over and over and can be timed by a fighter with equal or greater reach,I do think the fight would be interesting though.

Yeah for the 3 rounds......Floyd when then land rights hands at will and KO Khan.....THat speed is not gonna do much against a guy with the skills of Floyd.....And Floyd can just fight Khan on the inside....and walk him down. Khan has ZERO inside game

it doesnt help Khan has been fighting bums at 147 either

Khan never knew a left hook that he didn't like. No matter what he does he still gets hit by them. Floyd already showed how he handles speed. Easy fight for Floyd
