Burns is shot, only taking the fight to help with his debt, he will be dominated and battered. Mismatch.
Burns can upset Figueroa?

That is a narrow-minded approach. Exciting fighters appeal to a broad range of boxing fans, not just the Mexican fan base. Any fighter who brings it, regardless if they have elite skills or not is going to appeal to the masses, win, lose, or draw. Last I checked, a fighting heart and will and determination are considered substance and are among the top traits of a fighter.Comment

Figueroa kid also seems to be an intelligent fighter: after he was badly cut in the 8th, he felt the urgency of the situation and patiently set a trap in order to surgically dispatch Estrada with that right cross to the chin...That is a narrow-minded approach. Unfortunately, Omar has fragile hands and he just switched to Winning gloves...Comment

I am not sure of a Burns upset because I feel as though his fire has gone and he has been sliding for a good while now. His performance may be spirited but I can not see him winning. But who knows, stranger things have happened.Comment

140 is too "crowded" for Figueroa. Haymon has to further protect him unless he wants to throw him to the wolves of the division.
(Later edit: I remember that Burns wanted to go back down at 135)...Last edited by MDPopescu; 05-08-2015, 04:18 AM.Comment

I don't think so.
A few years ago I'd give give him a shot but he looks finished to me.
How he's even got this shot is amazing.
Not that I rate Figueroa, I don't.Comment
