The Cotto rematch is a good fight. I'd love to see Cotto + Freddie take on Floyd again.

It makes financial sense of course.

Also, I think Canelo is a tougher fight for Cotto than Floyd. Even if Floyd beats Cotto, or even really beats him up- Alvarez and Cotto is a true firefight. I just think somebody gets super hurt in that match up.

Floyd would be another tactical battle.

These guys are both C class fighters so why would HBO put in the clause for Heiland and not for Geale? That makes no sense and so far only you are claiming that to be the case.
Geale has appeared in two HBO main events. Heiland has never fought on HBO. Geale is a former unified MW champion. Heiland is unknown to even most hardcore fans.

Floyd does better in rematches (all counter punchers do) and Cotto has still beat absolutely nobody to show he has improved with Roach. No point.

What does that have to do with what I said? He's a low caliber fighter who cares that he's been on HBO twice? He lost both times he was on HBO and is coming off 2 loses in his last 4 fights and his last appearance on HBO was a terrible one where he was destroyed by GGG. Heiland is younger and is coming off a win against Macklin which is better then anything Geale has done in over 2 years. Neither is a great fighter both are fringe contenders at best. Again they are the same caliber fighter and if HBO wasn't willing to air a tune up fight for Cotto before without an agreement that Canelo is next then I see no reason why they would change their minds based on Geale. This is a tune up fight before Cotto tries to get a big fight later this year.

And HBO could care less about anything you said except for the bold. I applaud you trying to stand by your bad information but it's just wrong man, give it up.

If Canelo happens to lose on Saturday, this rematch is a sure bet if Cotto wins in June. I've been wanting to see a rematch as I felt Cotto did well, however he was still not meshing well with Diaz and his conditioning was not good with Phil. Being with Roach and McMillan turn Cotto into a different animal IMO, and a fight with Mayweather with this team would be a good one to see.

And I applaud you for pulling something out your arse first saying that HBO dropped the request for him to fight Canelo next and that it was in "the thousands of articles" when he agreed to fight Geale. I asked you to post one link to prove it and now it's BS about how he said it in a press conference yet nobody else can find anything stating it. And you still ain't post a link to one of these thousands of articles. Which is it did you read it in a article or heard it in a press conference? But hey it's just like you saying he passed on Rios, Bradley, K-9 ect because of HBO. Which is a flat out lie. Those fights all fell apart because of his beef with Top Rank and had nothing to do with HBO. Stop making up shyte. Or post a link to back up the crap you spewing.

You telling me I have no proof to confirm that Cotto has to face Canelo. Where is your proof that by fighting Geale HE HAS to face Canelo? The only linked you provided was if he was fighting Heiland, he had to fight Geale. I can't find a link because I haven't tried and I'm not about to dig through all the threads and articles involving Cotto's opponents. He's had like 6 potentially and I know I read that Geale would be accepted without it.

Also, weren't you saying that GGG is the mandatory? So how can he be forced to fight Canelo by HBO AND be forced to fight GGG from the WBC? He can't do both and HBO knows that and I know the WBC doesn't give a **** about integrity just fee's. I'm done responding to you, if I come across the thread I'll post on here, but I'm not going to bother to look because one guy simply refuses to accept reality in that there is nothing saying he has to fight Canelo by choosing to fight Geale. Again, the best you've done is a Heiland fight which I acknowledge, in order for HBO to allow it, he had to guarantee a Canelo fight.

Cotto doesn't do that and it's well known he wants a Floyd rematch over everything else. Why would he limit that by signing a contract with HBO and to fight Canelo? Keep thinking he's fighting Canelo next, it might happen, he's not bound to it. Keep staying mad.
