I just rewatched the fight and Manny was throwing the right hand at will with no indication that it was hurting him. He didn't even mention it in the corner. Weird.

Obviously you don't know how much Pac throws that right in his previous fights.

that said, it doesn't mean he throws it, it means it's getting the same velocity and pop that it usually did.

It didn't have the snap in his right punches. Hence, he's half the fighter he usually is in that particular night.

This Manny Pacquiao era is over. He can come back but he is not going to be the Manny of years back. If he came back he could and should be competitive against top rank opponents. But lets keep it real, injuries and age of set in and that's a bad combination.

As for Floyd, he played it smart for himself at the cost of showing what the casual boxing fan wanted to see. He kept himself healthy by taking very little risk in his fights. Depending on what happens in September Floyd can walk away the healthiest and wealthiest boxer in the history of the sport.

Proof isn't that relevant really! The injury could have been a straightforward shoulder injury which he exacerbated (i.e. tore the rotator) during the fight because of the structural weakness owing to the existing injury. Doesn't mean it was that bad going into the fight. Either way Manny and his team are fools.
