Comments Thread For: Saunders-Eubank Rematch Nearly Complete For Late June

Sources in Las Vegas have advised BoxingScene.com that a deal is nearly complete for a late June rematch between British middleweight rivals Billy Joe Saunders (21-0, 11KOs) and Chris Eubank Jr. (19-1, 14KOs).

They fought last November, with Saunders winning a razor close twelve round split decision. Saunders has yet to fight again, but Eubank bounced back in February with a twelfth round knockout of previously unbeaten Dmitry Chudinov to capture the interim-WBA middleweight title.

I did, so did a lot of British fans. It was a good fight too, ended pretty close.

Definitely interested in seeing the rematch.

Eubank starts off better in this one, wins on points.

Because of Lee's injury, BJS can take a fight inbetween. I'm not sure if the WBA and WBO will be in favour of their belts being unified long-term but for now the talk is that they're both ok with the fight.

I think Eubank loses for the same reasons he lost last time. Eubank did start slow last time out and came on late but on the other hand I think BJS coasted a lot once he knew he had a big enough lead. Interesting fight though.

In the artical it says Eubank has signed. Saunders hasnt. On Saunders twitter hes saying he doesnt wsnt the fight. Something about needing a warm up after being out for 6 months. Eubank fought an amazing pace over 12 rounds and beat a quality undefeated fighter so he will be sharper and more used to doing the 12 rounds now, unlike last time where he paced himself.

Well that throws a spanner in the works.
In all honesty, i wanted to see the rematch further down the line anyway.

Hope to see Saunders Vs Lee now.
