Are either ranked #1 on any of the major p4p publications? Roman Gonzalez's top 10 ranking was long overdue. I'm not saying a non-US fighter cannot get recognized as #1 just that they will have to prove more than a US fighter would. Luckily the current crop of US talent just isn't good enough, except for perhaps Crawford.Comment

They're not #1 simply because they don't deserve that top spot. Point is they get plenty of love even when they're not necessarily proving themselves more than any top fighter. If Lomachenko goes on to beat good opposition he'll be at the top of the list in due time. Being a foreign fighter won't hold him back if he truly deserves it.Are either ranked #1 on any of the major p4p publications? Roman Gonzalez's top 10 ranking was long overdue. With the right opponents, and assuming he can stay injury/promotion trouble free, he can definitely become P4P no.1
The guy is ridiculously fluid. He has something which all great fighters have, no matter which style they fight, which is very quick brain. That coupled with his coordination, speed, conditioning and will to win is going to take him right to the top.
Cant wait to see him take on Walters (assuming Uncle Arum doesnt 'over marinate' the fight).Comment
