Comments Thread For: Mayweather Says He'll Give Pacquiao a Rematch

Seriously though a rematch makes no sense right now. Maybe after Mayweather finishes the Showtime deal if he wants to go for 50-0.
As is now does anyone believe Top Rank/HBO will agree to a 80/20 split with proably no PPV upside in order to make this rematch? No one besides some salty Manny fans care to see it again.

I love both fighters, but man, the Floyd fans are acting like Pac was completely demolished on Saturday. Please. It was a boring UD for Mayweather with neither fighter willing to risk taking damage. Pac wins two more rounds last Sat and the fight is a draw. Let's not act like either fighter took any real damage on Saturday.
What does either camp have to risk from a rematch? It will sell bc of the 'revenge' angle. And IF Pac happened to win a close decision (totally possible), then you have the perfect set up for a career-ending trilogy.
It's the fitting end for both careers, and it would be HUGE.
I can't understand the hate for the rematch. If you think it will be boring, then oh well. Wait for the free replay on youtube.

Pac got schooled, he threw over 400 punches, look at the punches manny threw with his right hand. So how is he gonna avoid floyd's right hand?

I'm not paying $99 for it because I don't think the outcome will be any different what so ever but for Mayweather I'm sure he is all in for another Easy huge Payday
Pacquiao doesn't have a jab, can't fight inside, can't cut the ring off and can't make adjustments. In Fact I think he would look WORSE in a rematch.
Good luck with those negotiations, that is going to be a 80/20 or 70/30 Split

It can't, it cannot , it will NOT be for any great title, it will be for
REDEMPTION !
This fight should NOT take place in anyones backyard, with judges that are biased to MONEY.
Gerry JONES Place is perfect.
IF Pac can't have a numbing agent neither can May JR.
THIS FIGHT MUST BE EVEN. IF this past type of fight scene continues in boxing then the sport I have loved for 60 years has turned in to BLASPHEMY.
The great sport of fighting dogs has been brought to the depths of degradation and it not being controlled went deep in to debauchery and the differences between it and boxing, besides the obvious is little, both are there to win. Cheaters in the dog world 50 years ago put rubs on their dogs to hurt the opponent , their are cheaters in every sport, Lance lied about drugs , and now we have this fiasco Sat nite.
There is problems on both sides. Koncs was wrong to x the NO and put Pac in Jeopardy. Roach was wrong to let it go. Pac was between a rock and a hard place.
Everyone had so much riding on this he couldn't give it, but its the conniving, controverted side of Mayweather planting a mole to find out about the right hand and then PLAYING TO THAT INJURY in what has been billed the fight of the century ?????????????????? WHAT IN THE WORLD IS THAT ????????
ITS all BULL$###!!!!!!!
A REMATCH WHEN BOTH ARE in good health is the only answer, so Jr can go do his next fight and when PAC is BACK then we can get it ON and see what happens.
I want a KO, if Pac can't get it then JR needs to get it. I just have a hard time believing he is a da#N chicken not to take it when he was fighting a legit ONE ARMED FIGHTER.

The older they get the more clearly advantageous it is for Floyd.
Floyds technique will just take over even more.
Floyd would beat him again, probably just as easily. I believe the shoulder injury, but I don't know if it would've changed much. Dunno if Floyd is juicing, but he looked sharp and energetic at 38. Ah come on, its effing Floyd, of course he is juicing. But so be it.
