I 100% believe Alvarez when he said this, which he has a couple times. I have no reason to doubt him, starting with the Trout fight he has fought everyone people want him to.
you're probably right, but there's a difference between fighting boxers like trout and mayweather, and punchers like golovkin.
golovkin can set your career back years. you may never recover. hell, you may not get back up when he knocks you down. it's a different kind of danger.
as evidenced by his recent string, mayweather's whitewashing didn't ruin alvarez' career. a beating from golovkin just might.
Say what you will, but at this time Canelo and Ward seem to be the only ones even entertaining the idea of fighting GGG. Nobody's pushing for a Golovkin fight, even his trainer thinks GGG-Canelo is more likely then GGG-Cotto.
Never claimed any robbery, my problem is Canelo will always get the benefit of a close fight, so its hard to say how good he is.
But..
The judges in the Trout fight weren't watching that fight clearly, criminal scorecards, even if it was an either-way fight
How 1 judge scored Mayweather-Canelo 114-114 is completely and utterly beyond me. I just wonder how much cash they were paid or what bets they had on at the time.
No disrespect to Canelo at all, hes a warrior. Whoevers paying the cash behind the scenes though... sigh
I wonder what the Canelo-Trout/Lara scorecards would have been had Canelo been some unknown foreign fighter from Thailand.

Canelo? Oscar is the one doing the talking, Canelo doesn't even want to go up to 160.
