I have no doubt they are willing to make this fight. What in Canelo's history says he is afraid to fight anyone? Who in boxing has faced better competition in their last 4-5 fights then Canelo? He faced Trout, Mayweather, Angulo, Lara ect. He has been trying to face Cotto for 2 years now and he keeps making up new excuses to not fight him otherwise he would be fighting Cotto this weekend. Canelo signed to fight Paul Williams when everyone said he was too young sadly the fight never happened because Williams tragic motorcycle accident. He signed to fight Kirkland multiple times only for Kirkland to keep pulling out. So he has fought or signed to fight tall guys, fast guys, power punchers, defensive specialists, southpaws ect. You name it he don't duck nobody or any style. Which is impressive for a kid who is only 24.Comment

Meanwhile guys like Wilder, Broner, Thurman keep fighting bums and lesser competition and all those so called young guys are older then Canelo. Canelo will fight anyone. He will fight Cotto first later this year then GGG next year. Makes no sense to fight GGG first instead of Cotto. Cotto win adds more to his legacy, there is more fanfare and money in that fight then GGG, and GGG is younger then Cotto. You got more time to fight GGG. You put off fighting Cotto and he takes a bad butt whooping from somebody else then he might retire and Canelo never gets to fight him.Comment

canelo has always fought fighters but lets be honest all he did was fight the fighters he was supposed to fight. well see what happens but i think canelo and golovkin would be a great fight for the fans its for sure a ppv and i think it would sell way more then people would expect. I would prefer to see ward ggg but canelo ggg would obviously be more of an action fight. Well see what happens i just think oscar will keep saying in the future in the future when it comes to ggg. I just dont see it happening anytime soon. Honestly tho we should push for ggg canelo come to think of it i want to see that fight badly lolComment

I do not doubt that Canelo will fight Golovkin down the road. But not before ODLH feels his career can handle a loss to the best MW in the world or that the pros outweigh the risks. I can easily see Oscar waiting until GGG has unified the titles before setting up a Canelo - GGG fight. A chance to win all MW titles in one fight is the perfect situation for him and would represent the biggest payday fight that could be made between them. So I would expect this sometime in late 2016 which would also give Canelo time to take a couple of fights at true MW weight because I would not expect this to be a catchweight fight.
Of course this all goes out the window if Canelo loses to Kirkland or to Cotto.Comment
