Comments Thread For: Atlas: Forget Khan, Mayweather Should Face Golovkin

Fans waited for five long years. Last Saturday night it finally happen, as Floyd Mayweather Jr. won a twelve round unanimous decision over Manny Pacquiao at the MGM Grand in Las Vegas.

Mayweather is looking at the month of September to stage the final fight of his pro career. With a record of 48-0 and 26KOs, a win would place Mayweather in position to break the record of heavyweight great Rocky Marciano.

Several possible names have been thrown around for Mayweather's next fight. ESPN expert analyst Teddy Atlas has two names that he doesn't want to see. Atlas has no interest in seeing Mayweather face Pacquiao again, and he has no interest in watching Mayweather fight Amir Khan.

No, just no. Floyd would be destroyed. I'm not a Floyd fan but have no interest in watching a public execution either.

Floyd Sr already ruled out GGG like a year ago. It is gonna be Khan if he doesnt do Ramadan and if he does it's gonna be Keith Thurman. Mayweather doesnt have many options

If I was Mayweather I'd just retire. His detractors will never give him respect, they'll always create another boogeyman.

According to half of yall...Floyd would school GGG......yea da fck right......GGG would mite murder Floyd....Floyd would have to use every skill in his arsenal to win

Back to reality.....who can Floyd fight after beating Manny that the public will buy into tho?

                  Khan is a joke.....Cotto is a joke....

Only people I could think of is Thurman, GGG, and maybe Kirkland if he beats Canelo

GGG is too slow and he wouldnt be able to defend against Floyds potshots and movement.
GGG isnt maidana, hes not going to swarm over floyd......Hes a calculated fighter, which is good but to beat Floyd you cant hesitant because you'll just get countered.

Easy UD for Floyd, stick and move.
