Comments Thread For: Atlas on Pacquiao's Injury: Nobody Wants To Hear It!

ESPN expert analyst Teddy Atlas is turning his back on any discussion of Manny Pacquiao's performance being attributed to a right shoulder injury. Following this past Saturday night's twelve round unanimous decision loss to Floyd Mayweather Jr. at the MGM Grand in Las Vegas, Pacquiao claimed to have suffered an injury to a his right should about two weeks back. An MRI revealed a tear, said Pacquiao's promoter Bob Arum of Top Rank.

Atlas was ringside for the fight at the MGM and saw no evidence of Pacquiao's shoulder being injured. He did feel Pacquiao was hesitant to get on the inside because Mayweather's quick jab and right hand counters were connecting when he made attempts to do so.

It's funny how much Pacquiao's stock is dropping amongst the purists and people with a respect for competition.

It's because the media sold a product that doesn't exist. People are seeing who he truly is. Manny Pac started disappointing me 6 years ago when he ducked Floyd to fight Clottey because of random blood testing... Pac continues to give boxing a black eye.

Pacquaio is rapidly losing respect and its sad to see.

His die hard fans are ******ed and its great seeing them wound up but I don't like seeing Pacquaio losing respect because he's a legend.

But he's bringing it on himself.

Casuals are turning away from him... They are seriously pissed they got punked by the media. They invested so much emotional stock into Pac and now this is what they get...

The rematch won't sell.. casuals don't care about pac now and die hards know Pac won't be competitive.

I lost a lot of respect for Pacquiao after the fight. He was always a humble guy and even accepted his loss to Bradley after the fight. I had nothing against him before the fight (Can't say the same about his fans)

But to say you won the fight then later say you had an injury before the fight.. GTFOH

Bad sportsmanship on his part. Take the L and stop being salty.
