Exactly. Pac needed this mindset but he just doesn't have it anymore. Politics, religion and the Marquez KO have robbed him of his boxers heart. He was content just to be in the ring with Floyd and was smiling and **** on his way back to the corner even after being completely outboxed in the first few rounds.

Maidana, Augustus, Corley, Chavez, Castillo. Hatton, Cotto, Zab. Oscar, he'll even Guerrero and Canelo gave better accounts of themselves than Manny.

I think Cotto gave Maywether his hardest fight in terms of overral fight. If you look at the fight Mayweather had trouble landing his right hand and could not stop the jab Cotto was throwing.

I had that fight 116-113 for Mayweather.

Maidana 1 was a wrestling match and i scored it 117-112 for Floyd.

Loaded Wraps, you beat me to this thread topic.

Maidana is the best out of the recent Mayweather oppenents. Easily.
I think he fought better, harder, and was in better fighting shape than Cotto or De La Hoya. I think he threw a meaner, sharper jab than both Miguel or Oscar. He threw and landed to the body. He varied his assault. And he won the most rounds and landed the most total punches. Probably landed the single greatest shot on Money(in Mayhem).

Marcos Maidana, bizarrely, boxed and timed(at times...) Mayweather(after hurting him in I) better than Cotto or De la Hoya. I think he deserved the rematch, perhaps, even more than Castillo. Maidana is the only Mayweather opponent who 'shook' him. Maidana rolls Money's lead right hand multiple times in that first fight and counters. Crazy to see that happen.

I mean, Floyd Maidana I is a totally watchable fight. Endlessly interesting tactically. You can just sit down and watch that fight, pretty much beginning to end. And when the scores were announced at the end of the fight, nobody knew what they were going to be.

Last night's fight was not rewatchable. And I think a lot of Manny's fight's are drama-filled classics. All his fights with Marquez, Barrera... and on and on.

I agree with this completely. You have to go for the gusto when fighting Floyd. You can't out think or outbox him. It just won't happen

Maidana in their first fight was the closest. I wish Manny would have fought last night with the same aggressiveness Chino had in that fight.

Maidana, I scored the first fight 6-6. 2nd fight was pitiful by all 3 guys in the ring.
