Even if that's what it is remembered for, history will still always remember Mayweather > Pacquiao.

It is sad to think what could have been (if the fight did in fact end up being a back and forth memorable fight). Not only actually watching the fight itself but the whole build up and after shows that ESPN has done surrounding this fight really probably drew so many viewers that would normally not think twice about the sport. Boxing really could have gained a ton of new fans but, instead we got a fight that most casuals will call boring and lead them to say dumb things like "boxing is dying".

Oh well there is always gonna be hardcores like us to keep it going, but I wonder if this will have an effect on the PBC events TV ratings going forward, because if this fight would have been great then those "free tv" PBC bouts would have a lot more anticipation from casuals who want to watch more of the sport.

Most people have felt that way, anyway, hence Mayweather being such a significant favourite when this matchup was announced.

Did anyone actually think Mayweather could put on a good fight for the masses? He's not an entertaining fighter at all. Only we can appreciate his performance.

The less boxing people see the bigger the gap between their imagining of boxing and the reality they're confronted with when they watch these big fights.

                blame Pacquiao.

He is god's chosen fighter, he had god on his side.
And yet he still failed to give the fans a exciting fan.

You see what Maidana did in the first fight?? He pressed the action, Pac didn't

People said the same thing after Floyd vs Oscar.

Not sure why people keep expecting a Floyd fight to be some kind of war. He's fought 47 times before this, why would people expect him to suddenly fight like Mike Tyson in his 48th.

Stop worrying what other people think, I enjoyed it and couldn't have expected any more really from either guy.
