The guys who just go to watch events like these cos they're unmissable, will come back and see the next unmissable one.

Folk who are new but don't understand the sport fully will be intrigued and try and analyse the fight.

Will any current BOXING fans walk away from boxing?

Nah, only the ones who idolise the big names on show.

Boxing ALWAYS pulls new people in.

Clearly bad in the public eyes, but that is their own faults. They bought into this incredible media hype surrounding this fight. If they expected Mayweather to walk out there and do anything else than he did, you were gravely mistaken. This is boxing, hit and not get hit. Floyd Mayweather put on a boxing clinc. If you do not find this appealing than you should watch MMA.

I'm not directing this at anybody but this was the reality of the situation. Just because you got the wool pulled over your eyes and can't admit it, they blame Floyd. It's not his fault Manny couldn't get past his jab, it's not his fault Manny stop coming because he was going to walk into a shot. The casual fan reaction to this is disgusting.

Who cares what the media says, they think because it was boring it means it's a waste of money. A blowout in the super bowl is no ****ing different, it isn't the end of football. I'm just genuinely shocked at how much casuals really hate Floyd, that it's somehow his fault for Manny not keeping him from doing what he's doing and falling for the same **** over and over.

When the Spurs foul the **** out of Jordan and win, do we hate the Spurs because it was boring? Some people do but it's hate, Jordan should learn how to make a ****ing free throw. Manny should learn how to cut off the ring, it's that simple. Don't hate Floyd for doing what he do and the fight wasn't that boring as far as a Floyd fight can be. It was a high quality boxing fight regardless of the outcome, it's just Floyd's fight and Manny's fault for fighting it.

After having to explain how many rounds were in a fight, how many minute are in a round and so much more I don't know if I'd mind if boxing went back to being a niche sport. I should have been like Michael Rappaport and just watched the fight at home.

I'm surprised the media is actually running with the shoulder injury. Every news show I watched this morning talked about the fight now having controversy.

I sat in a house with probably 60-40 Pac to May fans and after the fight, the Pac fans said they are completely done with boxing, lol.

Not surprised because they were bitter, but they kept repeating it was such a boring fight. I'm wondering if they think that referring to just Mayweather and their anger, or to the entire match and are just pissed because of the money they spent and left disappointed.

These are similar guys I've watched other big PPVs with that turned out to be a bust.

But with that said, if the entire world watching thought the fight was boring, is this a good look for the sport and it's growth?
                  Thats great news actually.

Why is it that time and time again fans talk about how Floyd's killing boxing after he's broken records? If boxings popularity falls and guys aren't making hundred of millions a fight I don't think I'll be too upset.

The fight played out exactly as predicted yet people were still suckered into buying it well at least the casual fans ..Its there own fault for believing that any fight involving Mayweather would be exciting ..This is the best fighter of this era a guy who likes to do just enough to win and casuals have helped him become the highest paid athlete ..More power to Mayweather ...
