He got hit by a few bombs from Maidana and he handled them very well. That shot that hit him in the 2nd fight was very comparable to the shot that sparked pac out in the Marquez fight. Floyd was clearly stunned by his chin held and his legs did as well. Floyd's chin is better than Pac's imo. His chin is not a weak point. That has been proven on more than one occasion.

And the Maidanas right hand on the bell was so close to the shot Manny stepped into and was lights out , Floyd wobbled and walked back to his corner , Maidana hits harder than JMM , its all relative .I will say though, that he handled Mosley really well. I get that it was an above/behind the ear equilibrium shot and all you need is a few seconds to regain your balance.
But for someone who has never been staggered like that, he had the wherewithal to tie Mosley up.Comment

No doubt. That punch was beautiful, JMM knew he could land it and did so perfectly.Well check this out. When you say Manny-Marquez 4, peoples' minds rush to "KO". I mean, when a knockout is that sensational, who really cares what happened before that moment.
But I though Manny was waxing Marquez's ass. I mean, it was competitive, with plenty of give and take. But, Manny was out for blood. I don't even think the KO was him letting his guard down or getting careless.
That KO punch was just one for the ages. It was perfectly timed, perfectly placed, and thrown with everything JMM could put behind it. That was just Manny's time to sleep.
Just think Manny might of been able to get JMM in even more trouble if he wasn't so busy admiring his work.Comment

And you saw just how eager Marquez was for a 5th fight. It would be the most lucrative option in front of him by far, but no force on Earth or heaven could get him in that ring for a 5th fight. And if I was him, I'd leave it at the KO too.Comment

bradley is a terrible example. everyone knows he couldn't punch his way out of a piss soaked paper bag if he triedI'd still put Manny's chin above Floyd's. The difference is that Floyd doesn't get hit clean often. But, when he does, you really notice. You saw how poorly he reacted to Maidana's glancing blows in the first few rounds. It's inevitable that he's getting clean by Manny and we don't really know how he'll handle it. As far as Pac's chin goes, Bradley was planting his feet and giving him everything he had and couldn't bother him. Floyd's shop worn and brittle hands aren't likely to shake him.
hard to argue against floyd having the better chin, only one knockdown his whole career. he rarely gets hit flush but he can take a punch, he's proven it numerous times.Comment

Yep, why chance it. His knee is ***ed up now too. He should retire with that KO.Comment

Chicken Floyd is aware of the speed and strength of the Pacman and that was the reason why the chicken tried very hard to prevent this fight to happen.Comment

I see where you're trying to go with this but it doesn't add up because it isn't JMM in the ring Saturday. Maidana hits harder than JMM (I don't know how you could possibly know that but we'll go with it). So therefore?
That possibly proves that Floyd could stand up the a shot from JMM. Again, JMM is not fighting Saturday and I doubt he and Floyd will ever fight again.
And the fact that Manny got knocked out by stepping into the same shot that Maidana tagged Floyd with means? Maidana isn't fighting this Saturday.
I think what you're trying to say is that Floyd takes a punch better than Pacquiao but you haven't established a common opponent landing a common shot. Floyd stood up to a punch from someone possibly stronger than JMM. JMM knocked Pacquiao out. But what does that have to do with Floyd's ability to absorb a flurry from Pacquiao. The variable that is entirely left out is Pacquiao's power. Can Floyd stand up to a punch from Manny?
Your scenario doesn't answer that. It only demonstrates that Floyd wouldn't be fazed by a shot from JMM because he shook off a shot from the harder puncher Maidana.Comment
