Ward v Froch II may happen as other doors are closing fast: Chavez Jr isn't viable any more, GGG isn't moving up, Ward isn't going to LHW, so it looks like we're getting a rematch that should have happened immediately following Bute. That Froch would have given Ward hell.

Ward wins in a similar fight to the first one now.
    freaking chavez jr ruined everything!

I'm still hoping for GGG v Froch, because that is a blockbuster war. It's more anticipated for me then Stev/Kov, Wlad/Fury/Wilder, Frampton/Quigg/Rigo etc etc.

If Ward moves up and Froch retires, it's not such a good division. If Dirrell stinks the place out in beating DeGale then he'd be the clear #1 in the division, with Badou Jack #2.

What about Kessler? Didn't he quit too?

Agreed. Cowards like Golovkin and Froch can't use Chavez Jr. as an excuse to duck Ward anymore.

Golovkin is a natural middleweight. There is no reason at all for him to move up until he has achieved his goals at MW. IF he was having difficulty making weight, then sure he should move up. But he has never had such problems in his career and makes weight easily without having to drain himself and does not gain ridiculous amounts of weight after his weigh in.

GGG is not a SMW. Ward by his own admission is not ready for a GGG fight until he has had his tune ups. And if he cannot make 168 comfortably, that fight may never happen at all.

Yeah his fight being at a 172 catch weight pretty much tells me he is done at 168.
