Given the deprivation that exists in so many American cities, the strange thing is that this doesn't happen more often.

Impoverished people living in the most materialistic society on earth will do a little looting when a riot breaks out.

Your posts are proving my point.

If you think in any way that looting your own city, burning down your local shops, and attacking police or government workers who are simply doing their job is a good form of retaliation then you're part of the problem buddy.

@Titan M obviously the people out there haven't had there voices heard for years.

            Quote from Dr. King
"But at the same time, it is as necessary for me to be as vigorous in condemning the conditions which cause persons to feel that they must engage in riotous activities as it is for me to condemn riots. I think America must see that riots do not develop out of thin air. Certain conditions continue to exist in our society which must be condemned as vigorously as we condemn riots. But in the final analysis, a riot is the language of the unheard."

A lot of yall in here codemning the riots but say nothing about why people feel they have to riot.

Reading peoples post on here for years I am not suprised at all.
Just because they feel rioting and looting is the way to deal with the problem doesn't make it right, its not helping their cause by burning down local business and injuring innocent people.

Also, nobody is changing the narrative from police killing a man to out of control rioters and looters, the people rioting and looting are doing that. If there were no riots and only peaceful protests they would still be reporting about the mans death and how the protests have been peaceful.

News outlets love this stuff, so when there is violence or tragedy it takes over the news and now these riots are overshadowing that poor mans death and the actions of the officers that were responsible, not really the smartest way to get their point across really.

The media is ****ing ******ed, tbh.

Ferguson riots: "Why are these jack-booted, militarized thugs oppressing those peaceful protestors?"

Baltimore riots: "Why aren't the police doing anything to stop the riots?"

Let that sink in for a minute then explain why its a big problem now that people are acting out but it wasn't a big problem when 112 people were killed by the police.

Now I am not saying all the killings were unjustified but we all damn well know there are plenty within that 112 were a police officer/s were wrong.
Where did you come up with that number?

It's not, but neither is making excuses for rogue cops acting as the jury and executioner. As long as people like you keep making excuses, overlooking, and minimizing the affects of this, things will never change.
